"I don't think that's reason enough to leave you here by yourself," she splashed back, sticking her tongue out at Teddy.

"I'm glad I got you" there was no lack of affection to her voice when she said that. "You even put up with me curling up next to you when I'm having a bad night. Not everyone would" nor would she curl u next to just anyone.

"You know I won't abandon you, right?" She had to ask. Because if Teddy wasn't sure, then it needed to be said.

"I know" if anything, Cass wouldn't abandon her. "I know.." she said softly, reaching her hand out to the Rose.

She took Teddy's hand and simply held it, squeezing it. Cass was silently assuring Teddy that she meant what she said.

"I'll stop being emo soon, I promise" the blond reassured her in return with a soft chuckle. "I can't keep doing this or I'll need to start dying my hair and buying razor blades"

"And we can't have that! I'm barely allowed to have a knife for protection. Keeping razor blades around the house is just begging for trouble!" She was teasing, but it was her way of telling Teddy it was all okay.

"Mmm, but I'll make sure you'll have a proper blade with you soon. Not that the one you got isn't good enough but, one that's fitted to your hand will be better" she smiled with a light nod of her head.

"I think that would make Alex feel better."

"If he worries, couldn't he teach you to grow claws or something?" she asked. Clan discipline or not, Cass was going to be his wife. Right?

She shook her head, swallowing a little hard. "I... I don't think I've earned that right. Not yet. Maybe, someday."

She frowned slightly, but nodded slightly, giving her an encouraging smile.
"Stuck up old kitty cat"

"I don't know if he's stuck up... Or if he's just trying to respect the wishes of his clan. I'm not sure how their politics work."

"Well, don't look at me, I dunno much about any clan. I just know that this secrecy stuff? It got outdated a long time ago" she shrugged.

"I don't think it's about the secrecy so much anymore as it is about pride and honor... Well, as much honor as there is among kindred..." Lying bastards.

As if to vocalize what Cass truly meant, Teddy puffed her lips and blew a raspberry.

"Yup! I couldn't have said it better myself!" She gently splashed in Teddy's direction.

Which earned her splashing right back at her as the blond giggled.

Teenagers. And what did teenagers like to do? SPLASH WAR!

There would, inevitably, be more water on the floor than int he bathtub. Or at least it would look that way by the time Teddy needed a short break to get the water out of her mouth and nose while she giggled.

"Now we just look like a couple of drowned rats," she giggled. "But we smell damn good."

"No no no I can't look like a rat, I'm gonna be a cat for Halloween remember?" the blond chuckled, brushing her fingers through her hair and pushing the wet curls out of her face.

"Me-ow," she grinned. "I'll leave you out a bowl of milk, but hope you don't come home, hm?" Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

"Oh God I hope I can go home home..." the girl smiled longingly.

"Something tells me you will, sugar. It will work out that way," she smiled.
