"That won't happen. I promise you, it won't." She shook her head and then forced Teddy to look at her by lifting her chin. "Jamie and I talked about this briefly, as did Medwyn and myself. Both want to see you and he back together in the same place. Both do."

Truth was, even without the bond she shared with the German, she would've been hurting just as much. He was part of her, part of her soul. He held her heart and always would. No matter what happened, it no longer belonged to her.
What pain the bond inflicted was nothing compared to what her heart was already going through, what her conscience was already doing to her.

And she was still trembling as Cass forced her to look at her. Her pale skin stained with tears of crimson red, her bright blue eyes tinged with the same blood red colour.

"I need him..." she would die without him.
She already felt as if she was.

"I know you do. It's okay to need him. It's okay to want him. It's okay that you feel hurt. But if you bottle it up and don't address the issue, you'll hurt even worse. My Gepetto hasn't been herself in any sense of the word. I want her back. Medwyn wants her back. We all do."

She hadn't been herself in a long time... It had started when Medwyn had been taken from her. Leaving her heartbroken, guilt ridden.. with a bed that was cold and empty.
And then it had just gotten worse when Jamie had stopped talking to her and people had started turning their backs on her.

She wasn't worth much. She knew that. But a girl could hope. Right?

Teddy nodded gently, not really knowing what to say.

Cass leaned back against the cabinets in the kitchen and drew Teddy close to her and simple held her. She was worth more than she knew, it was just... vampires sucked.

The blond curled into her, her own arms still around her. God she hated being like this. It didn't feel like herself at all.
"I need more duct tape.." Teddy muttered.

"Lucky for you, I have an entire box full. And in fashion colors, too," she smiled at Teddy.

She had to smile.
It was pained, as was the laughter. But she did smile.
"Trust a Rose to make duct tape fashionable..." she said softly.

"Nah, I think it was a Malkavian. If a Toreador owns the duct tape company, I think there would be bigger issues."

She chuckled again, curling into her friend with a low whisper.
"I'm so sorry for doing this to you..." she truly did hate being a burden to her friends.

"Doing? Sweetie, you aren't doing anything wrong. You can't help what you feel and what you feel is never wrong. Sometimes, you get down, you know? Sometimes you get so far down it's hard to get back up. And that's okay. You need friends to lean on. And you can lean on me anytime," she said, running her fingers through her hair some more, petting her back gently. All in all, she was trying to be soothing.

"But this isn't me... I don't like being like this. It feels so... unnatural" and it was. To the blond, it really was unnatural. "I like it better when I can make you smile and laugh rather than bring you down with me" she smiled gently, knowing she'd have to apologize for the clothes she'd ruined with her tears later.

"You're not supposed to like it!" She chuckled. "That's why it feels so bad. But, eventually, you will see the light at the end of the tunnel and slowly, but surely, you'll be back to yourself. It's okay, Teddy. Really, it is."

"Sure it's not just an incoming freight train at the end of the tunnel...?" it honestly felt like it might be a freight train.

"I don't think it is... But, if it is... We'll meet it head on together."

"Heh... so... which one are you then? Thelma or Louise?" she smirked.

"Now that entirely depends... I think I'm Louise, but... You never know," she grinned.

Teddy curled into her again, the arms around he Rose giving a gentle squeeze.
"I love you Cassie..." she honestly did.

"I love you, too, Gepetto. I don't want you to forget that, alright?" Cass held onto her friend tightly, warm arms around her and squeezing gently.

"I won't..." she whispered quietly. "I won't forget.." it meant more to her than she probably knew.

"Come on," she said, trying to lift Teddy to her feet. "I think you could use with a nice, hot bath, hm? I'll put some lavender in the water and you can just relax a little."

"You're making me sound all girly" she chuckled, letting herself get pulled to her feet with a bit of help while she smiled. "Hey... can I curl up with you tonight? This sleeping alone shit sucks" she'd been sleeping alone for years, but things changed.

She understood how much that sucked. She really, really did. "I'd like that. I promise, I don't toss and turn," she winked, leading her to the bathroom.

Cass started to run the water, making sure it was warm enough before she began to add a little lavender oil to the water. She even fetched a couple of fresh towels.

"Thanks" she got a hug from behind as the blond slipped her arms around her. "I dunno why you put up with me, but thanks.." she smiled as she pulled away again and started to undress, not really all that shy when it came down to it. Specially not in front of Cassie. After all, the blond had nothing to hide.
"At some point I'll grow up" or she'd try anyways.

"You know, I keep saying the same thing," she chuckled. "But I don't know, I don't think it's about growing up any more. We've grown, we have. It's that humanity, you know? That's what makes us like we are."
