"I bet if anyone knows how we can enjoy a joint again, it'd be Estaban."

"Heh... yeah probably" no other comment about Estaban. He'd opted for saving his own skin though, she couldn't blame him for that really. She just felt a bit... well you know.
"Otherwise there's always the option of finding someone who've smoked one and have a nibble"

"Yeah, that is an option. Or... the Setites."

"The ones who runs the bar?" she asked, seemingly thoughtful for a moment before speaking again. "I've thought about talking with actually..." the blond said as if she had something in mind.

"Yeah, you know, you should," she nodded. "Good service, friendly people. Never hear a peep out of them, no trouble."

"I was thinking... if you can make drinks that vampires can tolerate, then, maybe, they'd have an idea of whether or not it would be possible to make good vampires could eat..." it probably sounded silly, but she'd been thinking about it. For Medwyn.

"I know there's a way," she nodded. "Rai would know more-- she has a person that can cook for vampires so that we can eat. And Alex taught himself how to eat again."

She gave a small sigh as she shook her head. "If I can learn how to eat from Alex, I'll teach you so that you may teach Medwyn."

"I was working on learning... but... I don't think Medwyn would feel it's the same and I don't want to upset him so I kinda stopped trying.." she said quietly.

"If he misses eating it," which, she already had confirmed that he did, "I don't see how it wouldn't be the same. But maybe getting him food that he can consume now is the right step. Maybe if he gets used to it, he won't object to learning how to eat normal foods again in the future."

"I want to be able to make him happy...." she said softly, as she, as of late, didn't really feel like she was living up to her promise of keeping him smiling.

"Can I tell you something?" Cass lit another clove-- she was chain smoking like a fiend, which was a little abnormal, but it wasn't dangerous at all. She did offer Teddy another, if she wanted.

She drew her breath, taking a drag, and blew out the smoke from the side of her lips to force it back and to the side.

"You and I both know that this kindred world, no matter if you are monster or servant, has it's ups and downs, right? I don't think you realize just how much of an up you are for Medwyn. You know, he loves Jamie. And for a very long time, he was content with being what he was in the grand scheme of things. But it was when other kindred noticed him, treated him... those moments brought a little joy to him. Because in those moments, he was a person, an equal. Now that he's kindred, it hasn't changed, not really. He's Brujah, so his temper is a bit more fierce. But you... you still do make him happy. But you have got to understand that he's still adjusting to his new body, his new self. You and I both know how our thoughts changed, edged more toward blood. It may seem like he's harder to please, harder to make happy. But when it comes to you, he's not. You are his bit of happy, Teddy."

She couldn't help it. Her eyes watered a bit. Which was why she lifted her hand to brush the back it across her eyes before they could well up.
"You think so...?" the blond ask quietly in a whisper.

"I know so," she nodded, not trying to be cocky. But she was awfully damn sure.

And because of that..?

"I'll talk to Jamie.." the girl whispered into the water without looking up. She had to talk to Jamie or she risked losing Medwyn.

Cass rested a hand on Teddy's shoulder and nodded softly, giving a gentle squeeze.

"Stock up on duct tape?" she said with a soft chuckle though there was something to it, perhaps a hint of fear of might come from it all.

"Why? Do you think you're going to break more?"

Teddy lifted her gaze just enough to look at her and offered her a small smile as she nodded gently.
"Probably.." she whispered.

"I'll buy the hardware store out, then. I promise," she smiled softly, brushing a few strands of hair from Teddy's face.

"If... if he throws me out..." she said quietly. "Would you look after Medwyn for me..?"

"Sugar, why would he throw you out?" Now, now she was even more concerned.

"Because of everything... Because he doesn't speak with me... because he didn't even acknowledge my presence last I was in the same room as him... because I let Medwyn get hurt..." she brushed her fingers through the water. "Because it feels as though he's been pushing me away for months.." she honestly would've preferred it had he just told her straight out he hated her.

"Didn't you ever think that maybe he's drawn himself away, just a little, to let you make your own decisions? He doesn't want to change you. He doesn't hate you, either. I know he doesn't. He's worried about you. And you're still his family-- he wants to be. We always wind up hurting the people we love... Always. Because those are the people that are easier to hurt."

She... had trouble believing that. But she still kind of quietly nodded. Either way, for better or worse, she'd try talking to him.

Cass went silent, too. She knew it was a lot for Teddy to swallow, being unsure. She could understand that.
