It's Actually Happening *blink blink* - Miami Refuge

Just as Cass had promised, she got back to the Miami haven the night after the text at around 11pm. It wasn't her truck the rumbled up the drive, but the Ducati. Of course, Cass actually walked the bike inside the place, because... well... if that thing got stolen she'd be pissier than a soldier without beer.

"Teddy, are you here?" Cass called out as she closed the door behind her and locked it. It was habit.

"Here!"
Teddy had an amazing dexterity and yet that reply was followed by the sound of her falling over and onto the floor. Most likely she'd fallen out of bed or something, as she muttered a low curse under her breath and staggered to her feet.

Cass went on a search. First stop, Teddy's room. "You okay?!" She called out to her friend after hearing the thump. At least Cass wasn't the only clumsy one.

"I'm fine" the blond smiled, dusting herself off there she stood, dressed in sweatpants and tanktop and little else. []"Was just trying some yoga moves and got distracted by you and the critters"[/b] she pointed towards the two ferrets who'd gone into hiding in the corner where they'd made a nest out of Teddy's sweater and Medwyn's shirt.
The blond was smiling though.
"I got your text!" which pretty much meant: speak woman speak!

Cass plopped herself down on the bed as she pulled off her leather jacket and, in Cass fashion, tossed it aside. It landed on the floor somewhere.

"He cleared all of the September. All of it! No business, no meetings. He found a venue for the wedding and even a caterer!" She was pleasantly surprised and seemed genuinely happy about it.

The blond would in no way claim to have anything to do with it, but maybe the Gangrel had started thinking? Either way she threw her arms aroun the brunette and kind of just tossed them both back onto the bed.
"That's fantastic!" she exclaimed, ending up straddling the Rose as she grinned down at her. "You're gonna get married Cass. You're gonna have your husband" she was going to get to be with her lover... the Caitiff was so happy for her.

It hadn't happened yet. Cass was still worried about the things that could go wrong and keep it from happening, but she didn't voice her concerns. She was just being paranoid, right?

"Which means you and I have to go shopping. Are you up for it?"

"Uhm... shopping? Haven't you already got the dress and the underwear picked out?" what else was there to buy?

"Not the underwear," oh yeah... she'd forgotten a little about that part. In any event, she'd get to that. "I don't know, bridal sets seem... tame..." Yup, she went there.

"But, no! For you! I need you there, a part of the ceremony. Please say yes?"

She probably still looked a bit confused.
"I thought I was already invited to the wedding?" the blond chuckled, quirking an eyebrow at her.

"Of course you are! But... I want you to be a bridesmaid, I want you next to me... Please, Teddy?"

What? Oh... Oh!
"Oh, of course, Cass" the blond actually looked surprised. Because she was. "I.. I'd love that" a bridesmaid? That would be a first.

"Alex is asking Medwyn, too. And Jim... and I think he said Estaban, too. I'll see if Jamie won't let us take Rhiana with us dress shopping."

"Who's his best man gonna be?" the blond smiled, not really thinking about the fact thats he was still sitting on the Rose. She figured the mini Scot would be Cassie's maid of honour, which would be pretty damn cute.

"No best man, no maid of honor. We want everyone there to be a part of it, you know? And it... it didn't feel right. He wanted Scion to be there, but with no sign of him..." She shrugged a little. "We want to keep things simple."

Teddy nodded.
"Sounds good" she smiled. "Weird custom having a bunch of bridesmaids and groomsmen by the way? Back home you only have one of each, though then again, that means you don't get to dress them all up in matching dresses of ugliness" which was a great bonus actually when you came to think of it.
"Oh God, pretty please, Cass. Nothing puffy. Please nothing puffy" she laughed.

She crossed her heart with her pinky, giggling up at Teddy. "No puffiness. I want you to pick your own dress. The same will go for Greer and Rai, if they call me back. All that matters is the color. But I want everyone to be comfortable. And we'll be outdoors."

"Green?" she smiled, tilting her head slightly to the side. "Your wedding dress had green on it soooo, I'm gonna guess green" and green was a pretty colour after all.

"Yeah," she smiled. "Is that okay?"

"Perfect" she just let herself fall forward so she could hug her again, burying her face in the corner of her neck. "I'm so happy for you" she truly was. And grateful actually. This whole thing would be the only wedding she'd ever attended, and the closest she'd get to one herself. So she was both happy and grateful and excited. Cass was getting married!

She wrapped her arms around the blonde, squeezing her tightly. For the moment, she didn't want to let go. She didn't say anything though. She didn't want to give the impression that she was getting cold feet-- because that certainly wasn't the case.

"I've never been to a wedding" probably wouldn't get the chance to go to another either. [b]"You'll tell me if I do somethign wrong?"[/B9 the Caitiff chuckled, squeezing her tightly.

She nodded, still holding to the blonde. "I've never been to one either," she said, trying to sound calm.

"Good thing you're not a bridezilla then" the blond smirked as she finally did roll off of her so she could prop herself up on her elbow next to her. "Alex is lucky he's found a down to earth woman"

"I just want everyone to have a good time. I wouldn't have care if we'd just gone to Vegas or... didn't have a ceremony. As long as it happens."

She turned on her side but didn't sit up at all.

"I worry he's just getting a basket case, though."
