"It was simpler being a beast" the blond said as tank top and jeans were discarded. "Not necessarily easier, just simpler" she smiled with a light shrug of her shoulders. "This whole conscience thing? God... how useless?" it was obviously a joke, a slightly frustrated one but a joke none the less. "This whole feeling bad about stuff, I thought at least a few Clans just dropped that nasty little habit when they got Embraced"

"Well, now that just depends entirely on what side of the fence you're on, right? I mean, unless you're a Gangrel, I guess. From what I understand, they try to find ways to get away from humanity," you know, except for Alex. He was the odd man out on that one.

"Different ways of coping" she leaned over and brushed her fingers through the water, checking the temperature before slipping out of the much too colourfull Hello Kitty panties and into the bath tub it a breathed hiss. Warm, warm water.
"Iiih, you're trying to scold me!" Teddy giggled, slowly easing herself into the water.

"That's not that hot!" She chuckled, leaning over to check the water for herself. "Okay, okay... warmer than I would have expected. But the steam rolling off will help relax those muscles, I swear."

"I always turn the temperature up too warm" she chuckled, almost adding "ask Medwyn" at the end of that sentence but caught herself before saying it out loud as she sank into the water until it was reaching her shoulders.

"So... project" that's what they'd been talking about before the blond had gone stupidly emo.

"Huh?" Oh yeah. "Oh, yeah. We'll see how it will work, I suppose. I foresee a lot of time spent on the computer."

"Anything I can do? " the blond asked curiously, fingers poking out of the water to wiggle slightly, causing ripples to move across the surface.

Cass kneeled at the side of the tub, adding a little more lavender oil and soaping up a bath puff as she shrugged a little. "I'm sure there's something. You know I trust your eyes, right?"

"Even if I'm just a thistle and not good enough to be a Rose?" the blond smiled, pouting her lips to blow a puff of air into the bath puff, causing a few bubbles to break free and float up into the air.

"Good enough? You're better than the rest of us. It's not exactly an honor or privilege to be a Rose, trust me on that. Even the ones that are Roses don't always belong, you know that. And I trust you more, whether you are a thistle, a sunflower or a violet. Roses are overdone, don't you think?"

The blond shrugged her shoulders slightly.
"They're still pretty" overdone or not. "It's the same thing as with clichés. They become clishe's because they're either true or just that good to begin with" she winked with a low chuckle.

"And what's the point of prettiness if it's only skin deep?"

"I dunno" she smiled, reaching out to tap a finger on Cass' nose. "I think... I don't get it, so I can't begin to understand it. I prefer mundane and honest to pretty and shallow anyways"

"And that's just it," she smiled. "There is no point. You know I think along the same lines as you. Fuck the other self-important Roses. There are other, prettier flowers. Like the ones that are meant to grow wild. Those are the ones that make the world go 'round."

"There are wild roses too.. they have the most beautiful scent" she said quietly with a smile. Obviously, Cass was one of those roses.

"Only sometimes," she chuckled. "Sometimes they get taken over and smothered."

"By the horrible horrible thistles!" cue water splashing at the Toreador.

"Hey!" She covered her face, but honestly it didn't look like she really cared if she got splashed given the grin on her face. "I thought I was the one corrupting the thistle?!"

"Thistles are weeds and as such are incorruptable since they'll always be weed no matter how many times you try to crossbreed them with something prettier" the blond smirked.

Cass frowned. "You aren't a weed, Teddy."

"Sure, by 'weed' has a negative connotation to it... Can't we just call it a 'plant' instead?"

"Weeeeeeed" she splashed more water at her. "Too bad smoking it won't do us any good"t he girl added with a slight smirk.

"Well now... Uh... that all depends..." She grinned. "You've given me an idea."

"Oh? Is that so?" she asked, lurking an eyebrow.
