Still not a word, but she did nod. Slowly. While still staring at the picture.
It was beautiful..

"You know, he could have anyone. It could very well be someone else in a white dress standing in front of that tree with him."

She blinked and looked up.
"He doesn't want anyone. You could have anyone but you want him. He wants you. So fuck the could've, should've, would've and what if's" end of discussion.

"Only because others turned him down."

"He didn't know you then" she said, looking at the Rose. "Medwyn's knows other women, you know what I did? I asked, I asked him if he would've wanted to be with anyone else if he had a choice. And he said no. He didn't want anyone else. And I think Alex would easily tell you the same thing"

"He told me... When we first got together... That he loved both me and Greer," she sighed softly.

The blond frowned slightly.
"And you think he still does? You think he'd want her if given a choice? Because I don't buy that"

"I... I don't know," she replied honestly. "It doesn't matter at this point, though."

"Ask him" she tilted her head slightly to the side. "If this is something that's gonna chew on you, then ask him" Teddy said softly.

"And if it ruins everything?"

"It's not gonna ruin anything" she shook her head. "All it will do is quiet your fears" because what the blond feared was Cassiel mentally tearing herself apart over it."Your choice though" she knew she would've asked. Heh, she had asked.

"Ethan..." She said quietly. "Ethan doesn't think he actually loves me or that I love him. Because of the bond. I'm just not quite sure what to do."

"Ethan's a cynical angry man..." well he was. He was a good friend of Medwyn's, but that didn't change what he was. "Did you love Alex before the bond? What did you feel for him back then, do you remember? And hell... even so, what does it matter? He makes you happy doesn't he? You make him happy... isn't it about that? About making eachother happy..."

"I..." she shrugged a little. This was eating at her. Not the fact that there had been others before her. But Cass wasn't the type of individual to love so easily. She had a hard time understanding how Alex could have been that way, though it was less bothersome now than it had been. No, what bothered her more was... What if he got hurt?

"Everyone knows we're bound to one another, Teddy. Everyone. Who's going to use it against us? Against him? I don't have a damn thing to lose. But he does."

"You worry about being a liability..." the blond sighed softly, a gentle smile to her lips. "Don't you think I worry about the same? Everyone wants what's best for the one they love. And sure, maybe the ligical thing would be not to love someone, not to fall for someone, not to leave yourself vulnerable. But... is that any way to live? What good is etnerity without someone to open up to, to give your heart to?"

"But I swore I would never do that. I don't want to be the reason he has to make a decision that's detrimental to his existence or the existence of someone else. I don't want him to do stupid things that could hurt others in this domain. I'd... I'd rather be happy in knowing he's... he's doing what he needs to do without me in mind."

She reached out, both hands finding the Rose' face, cupping her cheeks gently as she gazed into her eyes. Really, stared into her eyes.
"If you love him, then hold onto that. If he makes you happy, then be with him. Love doesn't appear every century Cass.... It's worth the hurt, it's worth the pain, it's worth the insecurity. Because we're incomplete without that someone to make us who. Hold onto it, hold onto that love, because you never know when it might be taken from you..." the blond said, a light tremble to her voice. "Please? Follow your heart, not your head all the time. You'll be miserable if you oly listen to your head. And you deserve to be happy... you two deserve to be happy together"

She stared back at Teddy... and then very suddenly pulled away. "I have to break the blood bond."

"Huh...?" now she looked confused. "W-what..? Did I... I..." and probably worried.

"Nothing you did... It's just too dangerous. So dangerous..."

Yeah, definitively worried. And guilty. She didn't mean for that! She hadn't meant for Cass to break the bond.
"Cass, I...." her fingers closed around the dog tags hidden under her top. "I-I didn't mean...." oh God Alex was going to kill her for this one... the Caitiff was dead meat.
"I didn't mean that.... Cassie...."

"I know you didn't. But Ethan is right," she said miserably. "He's right. What if there isn't anything under the bond? What happens if someone gets their claws in him, or me? I... I know I love him. But I can't let the bad shit happen. I can't let him perish over something as stupid as a blood bond. I won't let it happen that way."

The now rather miserable Caitiff wasn't sure what to say or what to do at the moment.
"I didn't mean to break anything....." floor, sink, through.

"You didn't break anything," she assured her. Ethan had, in his own way. In reality, he was only trying to get Cass to think, but it was possible she'd thought way too long about it. "You didn't. It's my decision. Isn't it?"

"B-but..." but the wedding... Alex... Cass and Alex....?
