"When I was fifteen, I got pregnant."

"My daughter was born with Bardet-Biedl Syndrome. She died when she was two from renal failure."

"There's nothing I can really say to that. I'm so sorry."

"You do not need to be sorry. It was a sad thing, a tragic thing. But it is why I am working so hard to prolong life... while at the same time not being sure if I would choose to live or die if given the chance."
