Getting to know the ghoul - Marvin's Haven

Marvin came into the kitchen after he woke up looking for Naomi.  He was wearing shorts and a bright floral shirt, and smiling softly as usual.

2 venti ice coffees stand full on the counter right next to each other. A third, empty cup is there, too. The rustling of plastic bags could be heard coming from the living room.

Naomi is there on the floor, organizing what appears to be a few purple and black paisley pillows, a blanket and a few more "girly" items. Seemed as if she was trying to add a bit of a feminine touch to the place-- or at least something that was hers.

She had the collar on, but the lead was hung up within reach of Marvin. But it didn't appear that Naomi had been home long-- she was still in a tank top and shorts, thr strings of a bikini visible. Perhaps she used the hot tub?

He took the lead in his hand and came up to Naomi with a smile "Good evening love"

Marvin leaned over and kissed her gently while snapping the lead on. "Gone shopping? Good for you."

She smiled warmly to him. "Hope you don't mind? It's very... manly in here..."

She stood, the empty bags to discard in one hand and the neatly folded blanket and sheets in the other.

"No, I want you to be happy and comfortable. Redecorate the entire house if you wish love, just leave my office alone. And take the other bedroom and make it into your office."

He stroked her cheek and looked into her eyes. "Thank you for wearing the collar, you get a reward. What would you like?"

Humble Naomi was humble.

"I do not want anything. Is that so hard to believe?"

"mmm but you wanted to redecorate some of the house." he said while brushing a bit of her hair from her face "How about a ring, would you like a nice ring?"

"A ring?" She thought about that for a moment and then shook her head. "I don't wear jewelry, really. It gets in the way," she smiled to him.

"I'd be too afraid I would lose it, anyway."

He gave her a gentle squeeze, and started to lift her shirt off her. "Mmmm, how about a tattoo, or would you like a vehicle, or maybe a larger house?"

The shirt came off easily, exposing her purple bikini-- which, to say the least, was fairly modest.

"I'd be stuck with a tattoo for longer than forever," she crinkled her nose. "What if I got tired of it after a hundred years? And I can't fathom the idea of that kind of money on a car or a house. Really, I don't want anything. You're allowing me to work, it's enough."

He undid the bikini top next, placing her clothes neatly on the couch.

"Alright then love, but if you think of something, let me know, ok?"

He sat down and let her finish doing whatever she was doing. "So tell me about your childhood."

She put the items in a closet, neatly and watched as he folded her clothes. She was still wearing her shorts. She made her way to the kitchen and grabbed one of the coffee drinks, drinking it through the straw quietly.

"Um... I was an only child. Mom is a dentist and dad's an architect. I grew up in suburbia just outside of Washington D.C. and the Maryland side. It was... you know, a normal childhood, I guess. Mom raised show dogs-- Boston Terriers. They still have a couple."

She moved toward the living room after putting her drink back down on the counter.

He let her keep her shorts on for the moment. She'd take them off if she was ready, and some things were best done by choice after all.

"Mmmm have you thought about what you will tell them when all your school plans change? Or do you want to become one of the missing? I can cover for you for a few years though if you want to keep among your circle of friends and family."

"I'm not the friend having type. As for mom and dad... I haven't thought about that. But they're the ones who wanted me to come down here and experience the world. If I told them I transferred to the University of Florida permanently, I don't think they'd care. I'm not worried about it."

She took off the shorts, now only in her bikini bottoms. She was slow about it, as if thinking hard about his question.

"Are you worried about it?"

He smiled "No, I'm not worried about it. Like I say, we've got a few years still."

Idly he considered killing her parents. That would make things easier. "Are you close to your family, love them, hate them, or indifferent?"

Odd question...

"I love them because they are my parents. But I suppose I'm fairly indifferent. They didn't have a lot of time for me. And when they did take the time, they pushed me a bit harder than I would have liked."

He nodded "I'm just trying to get a feel for you love. Tell me what makes you happy? What you like to do for fun?"

Maybe he would kill one of them first. Kinda ease them away. Oh so simple. Make one of them frenzy in the worst possible of places and enjoy the fallout. Such a waste of good blood though. Something to consider later.

"I read, mostly. Take walks sometimes. But I'm a homebody. I've been in school for so long, I haven't had much time for anything else. I've made studying... fun..."

She looked confused. Her lifestyle (ie, lack of a life) seemed rather usual for her.

"That's fine, truly you have no idea how well that suits you for this new life of yours. You'll be able to lead the lifestyle you enjoy for as long as I live. Although I don't imagine you expected that lifestyle to include my odd little perversions, sorry for that dear. But it's not bad for you is it?"

"Of course not," she nodded to him.

She then walked near him, folding the shorts and placing them on the clothes pile. Then she began working on the knots on her bikini bottoms.

"You're providing to me so much. I couldn't ever thank you properly."

"You simply being here and doing what you do is more than ample payment love."

"Maybe to you," she smiled, finally tugging the strings hard enough for them to untie. She folding the bottoms and added them to the pile. She slid onto the couch on the other side of him.

"What else do you want to know? I'm... pretty bland."

Marvin put his arm around Naomi's shoulder and held her close

"Tell me your favorite foods."

"Steamed crabs and Natty Boh, most fruits, rockfish, Berger cookies, Smith Island cake, squash, tofu, fried chicken."

She gave a laugh.

"But everything in moderation. As you can see, I'm a coffee addict."

"Well, you make sure to keep the fridge loaded with what you like best love. Maybe someday we can take a trip to Maryland."

Or not, it was Sabbat country up there he understood.
