Holding Out For A Hero (Teddy, Open)

"I'll keep an eye open" Teddy promised with a smile.

He grinned as he started to flip through the comics again. "Good."

It was at least a nice way to pass some time while getting to spend time with him. She didn't get a chance to do that much anymore.
After a little while she moved to the DVD section to look for something they could watch when they got home.

He, of course, remained in the comics section -- of them in his open hands as he stood there, reading.

She looked through some dvds before holding one up and turning to him.
"Ever seen Samurai Champloo?"

His brow rose. "I've never even heard of it."

"Samurai meets hip hop. It's pretty damn cool" she smiled, holding the DVD out to him.

His brow rose and he gave her a skeptical look. "If you say so....."

She chuckled.
"I know it sounds horrible, but the story is good and the artwork is great and the characters likewise. It really is worth a try" the blonde reassured him.

He continued to watch her, then nodded. "Then get it and I'll watch it with you. But be warned -- if it sucks, I'll say so."

"Anything else and I'd be surprised" because she liked his honesty.

His lips twitched. "And you'll have to make it up to me."

She looked at him.
He sounded.. like himself, heh..

"That just makes me wanna pick something bad on purpose" so that she would have to make it up to him.

His brows quirked. "Seriously?"

Yeah, that... That was more what she'd come to expect.

But she shrugged and smiled anyways.
"So I'd have to make it up to you. But! This is one of my favourites and I know it's great. So no making it up to you"

He laughed. "All right, all right. We'll watch it tonight."

The blonde gave a nod and added the DVD to her small assortment of comics.
""I can take your comics too?" if he didn't mind her paying for them.

His brow rose. "Are you sure? You don't have to buy me things." He was being polite, really.

"I know, but I doing things for you. And it's just a few comics" who else was she to spend her money on? She had a good income, but what good was money if she had no one to share it with?

He nodded. "All right. But the next one will be on me."

"Yeah, sure" she smiled, taking his comics gently and heading over to the counter.

He continued to smile at her, his steps slow and sure as he followed her toward the counter.

She hadn't heard anything back from them yet, but, she hoped they at least remembered not to mention anything seeing as she was in his company.

The blonde walked up to the counter and placed the comics and the dvd down.
"I would like to buy these, please"

Quietly, Medwyn followed her, slipping his hand into hers as he waited.

It was the little gestures that made her choke up. Because it was all the little things she missed so badly. Though she made an effort to not have it show, her hand instead giving his a light squeeze as she looked at him with a smile before turning back yo pay the clerk.
