Holding Out For A Hero (Teddy, Open)

"Don't worry, I'll remember. I'm just used to people being used to me being weird since the moment I say toymaker they just go 'Aah'" the blonde smiled. "I'll be more careful. I promise"

He smiled. "It's not a problem. Just something that Kindred seem to sometimes forget."

She nodded as she turned the pick up down a sidesteeet, heading towards the comic book store.
"So, new topic?" she smiled. "Halloween's coming up, any idea what you feel like doing?"

He thought about that one. And continued to think. "You know, I hadn't put that much thought into it, to be honest. Do you have plans?"

"Still got the Batman and Catwoman costumes from last year" and she really loved how he looked at her in that costume. "Though something new could be fun. And then there's the pirate thing the Ventrue Primogen is having, though I dunno if that's something for us" she said with a light shrug.

He laughed. "Pirates, hmm? That could be fun."

"Yeah? Totally could be. I don't think I've ever dressed up like one actually" the blonde smiled.

He laughed. "You could be a mermaid."

"Seriously?" she arched an eyebrow and smirked. "You get to be a pirate and I get to be a half fish?" the blonde giggled. "In that case you'll have to carry me around, you realize that right?"

He waved a hand and blew a raspberry. "Like you're heavy."

He got a defiant but playful pout.
"Oh, then you're getting a mermaid alright"

His brow rose. "What's that tone for?"

The blonde giggled.
"Hey, you want a mermaid you'll get a mermaid. You're the one who'll have to carry me around" she teased.

He laughed. "Make a harness, I can strap you to my back."

She loved his laughter, it always brought about her own.
"Sounds like a plan"

He grinned. "I'm full of them."

The smiling blonde giggled again as the pick up was pulled up outside the comic book store.
"You are. And I like that" she smiled, leaning over to touch a kiss to his cheek before moving to get out of the pick up.

He smiled, his brow raised as they pulled up. "Good. But what are we doing here?"

She tilted head to the side.
"I asked if you wanted to go" Teddy said. "Maybe find some cool comics, a movie to watch later? I've been by here before and they got a good DC comics section. I thought maybe we'd be able to find some cool Batman comics" he was a fan, she knew that. Knew he liked comics so his question surprised her a little. "I figured it could be fun"

He smiled. "Is it so terrible that I've been craving more Marvel than DC lately?"

She blinked and smiled.
"Uhm, no, just surprising" the blonde said, honestly surprised.

He smiled. "I've kind-of discovered that Spiderman is also awesome."

"Aaah" she gave a sage nod. "I can see that" the blonde smiled, holding her hand out to him once out of the pick up.

He slipped his fingers through hers, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. "Obviously, my first love is the Bat. But credit where it's due, Peter Parker is probably one of the best unlikely superheroes ever."

"I'm a Marvel fan, you know that. But the Bat's got one of the better costumes by far. And some of the nifties gadgets, I'll give him that" although Shark-repellent Bat Spray made her laugh, every damn time. "Spidy's cool though. A bit talkative, but you kinda just gotta like that" Teddy smiled at him as they made their way into the store.
