A ride home (Abigail) - Jack's Attic

That got a rather large grin from her. "Aye, I woul' like tha'....." she says as she glances up from her coffee.

"Yeah?" good, he would've felt kinda stupid had she said no. "Whatcha feel like doing? I was thinking maybe a better dinner and a trip to the beach or something?"

"Whatever ye woul' like. Im easy ta please" she says with a smile. "Really, Im sure whatever ye choose will be jus' fine."

"Heh, maybe. I'll figure something out" he smiled warmly. "Just give me a few days" he added with a wink.

'A few days I can do. No' a problem.". She says, taking another bite of her food. "If ye ge' stumped Ill choose somethin', deal? "

"Good deal" he agreed. "Just need to kidnap you away from work" since, as she'd said herself, she worked way too much.

"Hmmmm....I will allow meself ta be kidnapped I suppose." she said jokingly, before giving him a sincere smile "I will make time. Promise."

"Sounds good" sounded really good actually. So said his smile when he watched her, catching himself staring a bit long and ending up looking to his plate of food again as a kind of distraction.

She didnt seem to notice him staring as she had focused her attention on her coffee. Ok, so maybe it was a little bit awkward. Not really the general situation but more so the conversation. It was obvious she had not really done this before.

He was relaxed with the situation itself, only real awkwardness there was was the whole "trying to figure out where this is going" part. And that? They had time for that. So he didn't focus much on it.

"Heh..." he seemed to recall something. "Last name's Cavanaugh by the way" he looked up at her. "I don't think I actually told you that"

She glances up "Aye, ye didn' did ye? I didn' even think ta ask. Guess I was a wee bi' distracted." she says, giving him a warm smile "Mine is probably a bi' obvious...."

"I'll go out on a limb here and guess it's O'Reilly" he laughed, a bright grin across his face. "Unless you got me properly fooled that is"

"Aye, good guess" she says laughing "Otherwise me tattoo is probably a bi' silly."

"You got a tattoo?" he quirked an eyebrow, tilting his head slightly to the side as if trying to figure out where.

She chuckles. "Aye, several." she says, holding up her wrist to show him the trinity that was there. "Tha others arent as visible normally."

"If it wasn't for the fact that it would make me sound like a sleeze, I'd be tempted to show you mine if you'd show me yours" he grinned, although, he was joking. Tempted, yes, but he wasn't really up for pushing his luck so early on.

She looks at him, eyebrow raised, with a slightly mischivious look. "Really?" she asked, also joking, though maybe serious a bit?

He chuckled.
"Yeah really" joking, really, possibly.

"Aye, fine then" she said, fully meaning it

She got an arched eyebrow over the edge of his cup as he stopped with it resting just inches from his lips.
Really?

She meets his gaze. Yup, she looked serious

"Fine" he smirked as he put the mug back down and got up. She would've noticed the most obvious tattoo already; the words “I have promises to keep; and miles to go before I sleep” on the inside of his left lower arm.

One thing she would learn quickly, was that he was anything but shy as he grabbed the hem of his shirt and pulled it up and off to reveal a body that, while not heavy set with massive muscles, probably didn't have as much as spare ounce of fat on it. There were the occasional scar here and there, none of which he seemed bothered about, but it was the tattoo that stood out as the colour was strong against his otherwise pale skin tone.

The intricate dark phoenix tattoo could be seen rising up the right side of his body, front and back, and which covered part of the right side of his chest as well as parts of his right arm. The tattoo, besides the phoenix itself, also included smoke, embers and if one looked close, smaller images of mythological creatures rising from the flames and hiding in the smoke. The mythological bird itself and the flames having been made in colour, while other parts were made in gray work.

She stared somewhat openly a moment before she actually looked at the tattoo itself. She actually got up to look at it closer. "Tha' is rather impressive work....." she says as she looks closer at the detail, running her fingers along the various details without seeming to think that maybe she was being a bit too bold.

"Took quite a few sessions and hours to get done" Jack said, not minding at all that she was touching him. "Like to think it was worth it though" as while she was looking over the tattoo, he was watching her. "At least it turned out how I pictured it.."

"So is there a reason for each thing on 'ere?" she asks curiously as she looks at the smaller details
