A ride home (Abigail) - Jack's Attic

"Some of it has meaning, some are just images from my dreams or nightmares, some of it just makes me sound like a pretentious twat" he said, finding that he was still watching her, a quiet smile at the touch of her fingers.

"Hmmmm......well, pretentious or no' I woul' actually like ta 'ear tha reasons....." she said, sounding curious. She doesn't notice his watching her as she is still looking over the work and tracing with her fingers.

"The phoenix is pretty simple... rising from the ashes, dead and yet able to live again. A kind of a fuck you to my condition" he smiled, still watching her, still enjoying her touch though he didn't bring attention to that. "The Chimera is a creature of many faces, my idea of opportunities I guess. To be whatever I want to be, the ability to change and adapt. The dragon representing strength. The Behemoth stubbornness and a willingness to go through with things... Then there are the creatures of my nightmares" for the first time he moved to touch the hand that was touching him, moving it so her fingertips where at the monsters he talked about, hidden int he smoke rising from the flames. "And those of my hopes..." creatures far more angelic which lingered in the flames and smoke, peeking out.
There were several more, as he pointed some out and skipped some, probably because by now he's sort of forgotten how many details were really in that tattoo that covered so much of his skin for which he had spent a fair amount of time in pain for.

"None o' tha' sounded pretentious a' all" she said sincerely. "I' is beautiful. Ye obviously spent a lo' o' time workin' on i'......" she said before realizing where here hand was and pulling it back, blushing slightly and clearing her throat. "Aye, sorry...." she said, standing up straight. She apparently blushed fairly easily.

"Tell you a secret, you won't find many guys who'll object to having a beautiful woman touching them" he smiled, hoping perhaps to be able to soothe the blush slightly, although... "I have to admit... you're cute when you blush"

Which really made her blush deeper. "Ummm...thanks?" she said. Was that even the right response to that?

"Sorry, didn't mean to make you uncomfortable" Jack smiled a bit guiltily as he took a step back to give her some space, grabbing his t-shirt to put it back on.

She shakes her head, smiling despite her face still being slightly red. "Nah, ye didn' make me uncomfortable. I' is fine."

"You sure?" he asked, pulling the t-shirt back on.

She laughs softly, nodding her head. "Aye, I am sure....."

"Mm, not entirely convinced, because your cheeks are still as red as your hair" okay so he kind of had to tease her a little.

She rolls her eyes playfully. "Ugh.....I know tha ye bloody git." she says, her tone joking. "I can' help i'...."

"Yeah? So if if I keep teasing you, you'll keep that pretty colour?" now he was definitively doing it on purpose. Like poking an angry cat, because it was fun even if you knew you might get scratched.

She scowls at him, but its a playful scowl "Ye really jus' wan' me ta hit ye don' ye?"

He was laughing, holding up his hands defencively although there really was no denying the playful glimmer to his eyes.
"Not at all, I'm just stating the fact that you're about as red as you can possibly get" though he did manage to bite back the addition to that comment which, quite frankly, would've been going a bit too far.

She sighs rolling her eyes. "Oh shu' i' ye ass....." she says, shoving his shoulder. She wasnt very strong but for a girl she had a bit of clout to her. At least enough to hold her own in a bar brawl

"It's the Irish genes isn't it? Redheaded temper?" he took the shoving with a grin, still holding his hands up defencively and in no way threateningly. He was, after all, having fun.

"Tha only thing savin' ye righ now is tha fact tha' ye gave me breakfast" she says jokingly. She at least wasnt blushing anymore

"So that's the trick then? Feed you when I mess up? I'll keep that in mind for when I break my first tray of glasses at the pub" he grinned.

"Aye, food is one o' several ways......" she says with a grin. Ok, that comment may have been a bit on the suggestive side

"You even want me to tell you just how that sounded?" because yes, that comment had totally come out on the suggestive side.

She laughed. "Aye, maybe tha' is how I meant i'......" she said playfully, raising an eyebrow.

"I thought we were going slow?" right now he could think of a half a dozen comments for which this relationship, no matter the nature of it, was too young. And he was still grinning.

She shrugs. "I don' know exactly ta be honest. Aye? Slow is good." she says somewhat seriously before she grinned and said more playfully. "Wha'? Ye can dish i' ou' bu' ye can' take i'?"

"Oh" oh a challenge? His hands still up did the "come on" wave. "Oh, bring it"
