A ride home (Abigail) - Jack's Attic

"You sleep well?" he brushed his fingers through her hair, moving it away from her face so he could see her.

His smile widened a little.
"I like the sound of that" apparently he made for a comfortable mattress.

She grins. "Aye, I shoul' give strange men rides 'ome an' sleep a' their places more often......" she says jokingly

"If that's your thing, sure. Though I'd be careful. Not everyone's as comfortable to sleep on as me" he laughed

She laughs. "No.....i' actually is no' me thing a' all believe i' or no'. Glad I made an exception though" she said, relieved that he wasnt being all weird about this.

No need to be weird about things. How could anyone complain about waking up to a beautiful woman in their arms?
"I'm glad too" he admitted, still playing idly with her hair as he smiled. "You want some breakfast? If you'd like, you can take a shower while I practice my amazing cooking skills by hopefully not burning the eggs? There's clean towels by the sink"

"Mmmmm.....shower sounds great actually. Id like ta no' smell like a bar....." she says, smiling. "Need ta ge' some clothes ou' o' me car"

He nodded. She'd have to move though since, well, she was the one on top.
"You know the way" he said with a low chuckle to his voice, brushing his hand over her cheek just one more time.

It took her a second to realize she actually had to get up. "Aye, be righ' back....." she says as she finally gets up. She grabs her keys out of her jacket and heads out to her car. She comes back a few minutes later with a changes of clothes, being awake enough to finally realize how it probably made her look that she had clean clothes in her car.

Maybe. At the same time, he didn't comment on it as he was already poking around the kitchen in search of something edible he'd actually be able to prepare without the use of a microwave. Good thing he had some bread, eggs and even enough bacon left to not make it look like he lived off of frozen fast food all the time.

He smiled as she walked back and in motioned towards the only separate room in the apartment.
"Just let the water flow a bit before stepping into the shower, it needs a few moments to get warm" Otherwise? She'd be in for one hell of a cold shower.

"Aye. Thanks." she says, heading in to the bathroom. Shes in there for a good fifteen minutes. She finally emerges changed and hair wet. Seems to be just as curly and unmanageable wet as it is dry. She may have had clothes but she didnt seem to have makeup with her as she wasnt wearing any now.
"Oy......I feel like a real person again. Thank ye" she says as she has a seat, looking at him

Well, make up was one thing she wouldn't be able to find in his bathroom. She'd find a small assortment of shampoo and hygiene products as one would expect, along with a few bottles of various heart meds, but alas, no make up. Perhaps that was a good thing though heh.

"You're welcome" Jack smiled as he turned to place two plates of food on the table. It wasn't anything fancy, but toast, scrambled eggs and bacon still qualified as breakfast. Of course, there was already a big mug of coffee ready for her.
"Dig in"

She grins, taking a sip of her coffee. "Thanks. Ye didn' have ta make food..."

"Oh c'mon, it's the least I can do" he pulled up a chair and sat down. "Specially after i let you sleep on the couch" or rather, technically, she'd slept on him but still.

"I 'appen ta like sleepin' on tha couch." she said, still smiling as she took a bite of the eggs. Really, her comment could have been taken multiple ways the way she said it. "Since Im still 'ere did ye wan' a ride anywhere later?"

"That's alright, I got a friend coming over to pick me up later so I can get the bike" Jack nodded, taking a bit of his food. "You're welcome to stay for as long as you want though" he added smilingly.

"Aye......may stick aroun' an' pester ye a bi' until I 'ave ta leave. she says, smiling as she takes a sip of coffee. "Still need ta do all tha work I didn' do last nigh'."

"Mm, yeah, sorry about that" kinda. Sorry she would have to catch up on work. Not sorry she'd stayed over.

She shrugs. "Don' be, Im no'......" she comments without thinking. She looks down at her coffee cup as she takes a sip.

He smiled, poking his food a couple of times as the smile lingered.
"I'm glad things aren't gonna be awkward after this" Jack said after a few moments. "I'd have felt like an idiot if you'd stormed out this morning"

This kind of conversation was really not one she was used to, but for once she wasnt going to to try to avoid it or brush it off. "Aye, me too." she comments quietly "No' goin' ta be awkward if ye come in ta work?" she asks curiously.

"Unless you suddenly give me the cold shoulder I don't see why it would be awkward" he didn't mind the direct route really. Blunt was so much easier to handle. no misunderstandings that way.
"I had a nice night yesterday. And a good morning so far" Jack smiled. "Whatever this turns out to be? I don't regret this at least"

She looks a bit relieved at his answer. "Ok.....good...." she says, letting out a soft relieved sigh. "I think we are both in agreement on tha'......" she said, referring to not regretting it. She wasnt sure where this was going either but she hoped it was more than just the one night

Guess they'd find out huh?

He nodded, taking another bite of his breakfast, seemingly perfectly comfortable just continuing the meal with quiet conversation as he took the time to properly wake up. Because usually he wasn't anywhere near human until he'd gotten several cups of coffee, a cigarette and a shower.

"Maybe you'd let me take you on a proper date sometime?" you know, something a little better than crashing on the couch with a movie they'd both seen before.
