Eminent Domain Part II - Miami Refuge

"We'll always worry, be concerned," she nodded. "We love you," she assured her.

Considering how little she'd felt as of late? Or heck, not as of late, over the last few months to be honest, being told she was loved meant more to Teddy than she could hope to explain.
"And I love you too" she said softly.

Cass let her right hand drop from the steering wheel and eased it over to take Teddy's hand as she drove. "I'm sorry Miami didn't work. I'm sorry this happened. But... even if Jamie's not concerned about Victor taking over Miami, I'm concerned... I'm concerned because of how much territory has been flying as of late."

"I dunno much about territories except that I rather be in on where the owner doesn't want me killed. But whether or not having Morton hold Miami as opposed the Sabbat being a good thing? No clue... seems a bit like a choice between the plague and cholera" Teddy said as she held Cassiel's hand, the critter in her lap having followed suit and fallen asleep just like its brother.

"Teddy, do you believe that kindred can have too much power? Too much sway over mortal society?" Honest question, it seemed that Cass had a theory. Whether it was any good was yet to be seen.

"Yeah.... but then again, you needn't be a vampire to have too much power" there were plenty who held too much sway and used it... oh so wrongly.

"Well, I agree. But let's look at it this way," she she cleared her throat as she gathered her thoughts. "To my knowledge, PSL and Miami were, for the longest time, the only city's to be held by kindred in the state. Now, the whole bloody place it pretty much claimed. That means that mortals are less able to make their own decisions, the risk for Masquerade breaches has gone up significantly and there is more of a risk of being discovered by other supernatural creatures."

She shook her head.

"It's gonna get someone's attention. And not in a good way. With everything that PSL has been dealing with... can we afford to have to deal with one more thing? There's an Archon running around, for shit's sake. PSL is the only Camarilla held domain in this state. If things go to hell, who is the Justicariate gonna come down on?"

Oh she paled. Bu the big question was, could either of them do anything? She had a feeling the answer to that was a resounding no.
"They'd turn on Jamie...." oh God....
And with the bat shit insane Anarchs around, and the Nazi Tremere to the south? PSL was kind of surrounded by possible problems and breaches. All of which lay in the hands of someone other than the people who'd be blamed if it all blew up.

She nodded, the frown on her face deepening. "On Jamie, that's right. And not to mention the things that hunt us as a whole... On surface, right now, everything is fine. Everything is okay, a little odd... but everything seems placid." She turned her head a little to look at Teddy.

"But eventually... something's gonna give. And there's going to be a horrible ripple effect."

Normally she would've been able to escape that ripple effect on account of not being important enough. She still wasn't important enough to be worthy getting caught up in it, but she loved someone who considered Jamie his brother. And in all honesty, no matter what he did to her, she love Jamie too. Because of him, she'd been able to meet Medwyn.
"I...." she sounded a bit lost on top of all the worry all of a sudden.

"I'm not sharing this theory with you to worry you, I don't mean to. But you need to be ready," she looked back at the road. An accident now would just be... tragic.

"Rai is in hiding. I'm doing everything I can to help her in the domain. And I need to keep everyone as safe as possible. What I don't want is for anyone to be caught unaware. The best thing for PSL right now, is for everyone to keep a calm head and to be extra careful in what they do and how they do it. It's everyone's responsibility to be vigilant and everyone's responsibility to report things they see that could be harmful to us."

She just nodded slowly.
"Yeah, I... Yeah" of course she'd let them know if she saw anything. She'd done so before, even if it didn't necessarily get brought into consideration. If nothing else she'd tell Cass and she could let others know if anything happened. Her word might hold a bit more weight than the blond's.

"You ready for this?" Cass wasn't. But that didn't matter now, did it?

And Teddy being Teddy answered honestly.
"Nope" she said with a slightly nervous chuckle. "But I'll manage" she wouldn't abandon people, even if they might abandon her. "I'll be here"
