"Who says they'd die? Who says you'll always succeed on your own? Your friends wants to help you, they want to help the Domain. You're no good to them dead. And you think they'd find it any easier, if you died and they were left knowing they could've made a difference? You don't need to drag people in, but allow them a chance to lend a hand. There's ways to do that that doesn't involve standing on the front like. But it's hard... being showed aside when you want to help, when you know you can. Even if it's "for your own good". Just... think about it. Grown people can make their own decisions. Just like you do" Teddy said softly.

She nodded.

"Logically, I know and agree with you. But when it's someone I care about... it's a lot easier to do a dangerous thing than it is to watch someone you love do a dangerous thing."

"I know what you mean, but the people you care about think the same way you do, so... think about it. Consider letting them help. It will strengthen you in the long run" she smiled gently. "Medwyn did what he did to protect me... I know he meant well, but I rather we'd figured it out together, you know? I would've preferred to take the hit myself... just as he preferred taking the hit for me...."

She smiled.

"I understand. But Medwyn isn't sworn to protect all of the Kindred in the domain. I am."

"And friends protect friends, regardless of who've they've sworn to protect" she smiled with a light shrug of her shoulders. "So let them help you like you help them. Sometimes at least"

She smiled.

"I do. When I can."

"Mhm... and sometimes you'll have to let them when they can" she winked.

She laughed softly.

"Point taken. I just... don't like people being in danger."

"No one does..." except for the really weird twisted ones.

She smiled.

"I know. But it is what it is, I guess."

"Mm" the blond nodded in return, causing a few ripples to spread through the water.

She smiled and looked up at the moon.

"Ever wanted to go into space, Teddy?" she asked quietly.

Okay, that was rather random.
"I don't think I've ever actually thought about it..." she had to admit.

She smiled at that.

"I think I'd like to go to space once. Just to see the world from up there."

"Mmm... it looks beautiful on pictures... I bet it would be amazing viewed in real life and not on paper" the blond smiled with a small nod of her head.

She nodded, still looking up at the moon.

"Despite everything bad that happens here, I can't help but love this world."

"We still only got one. And heh, even if we did find another it wouldn't be the same. So all the bad, it's still outweighed by the good. This is home... nothing will change that" Teddy nodded.

She smiled.

"Exactly. I'm not ready to leave it yet. I don't think."

She laughed softly.

"I don't plan to. It's more that I'm just thinking. Mostly that I need a vacation."

She smiled softly as she looked to the water again, lifting her hand close enough to the surface to see the ring Medwyn had given her.
"Yeah... a vacation would be nice..." she brushed her thumb across the ring.

She smiled.

"If you could go anywhere on vacation, where would it be?"

Heh, it was silly, really really silly...
"Paris... I've been there several times but... Medwyn was planning a vacation for us there.." she paused, mostly because she worried her voice might crack if she didn't. "Which makes it special.." she just worried they might not get to go.

She nodded.

"Paris is beautiful. Especially this time of year."

"Yeah, it's full of Frenchies though" she said, cracking a smile.
