Aaaand the car... yeah she was gonna try the "safe" approach first. Relatively safe anyways. After all, there was a limit as to how wrong things could go with just an Ouija board right?
Given, she wasn't a novice when it came to the supernatural and the occult, though while she knew a fair bit about it, it didn't mean that she usually did stuff. That was something best left to those who knew how to handle it. But, it was worth a shot.

Which was why the board had been placed on roof of the car. The Caitiff resting her fingers lightly on the pointer while she focused.

"I saw you, in the car" she said softly, patiently waiting to see if it would move again.

Patterson, was that the same last name as the man she'd bought the car from?
"Is that your name?" hey, she had to make sure it wasn't the name of, say, a possible killer, right

"Is this your car?" maybe it was the father?

"Why are you here? You should have been able to find rest" she didn't expect more than a one word answer.

"Your son? You're still here because of your son..." oh..

"As a parent you've watched over him his whole life, isn't it time to trust him to look after himself?" dealing with ghosts, honestly, it was a first.

"Why is he not safe?" she frowned, not sure she liked where this was going.

"Why?" maybe he knew.

He'd witnessed something. Damn, was he aware?
"What did he see?" maybe she could get a date and place and she could look it up, if she was lucky.

"Can you give me a name?" something to go on.

"Can you tell me when or where? So I can try to find some more information? I would like to help your son, and you..." so that the son would be safe and so that the ghost could move on.
