| For a moment it looked like he was going to comment on that, but he caught himself before he made an utter ass of himself and kind of killed off the comment with a cough as he sipped his coffee. "Bed's preferable in most cases" he just didn't say what initially crossed his mind. | |

| She noticed that he didn't say whatever had come to his mind first, looking mildly amused at his attempt to cut off the commentary. "Aye, most....." she says, very close to the line of being suggestive before she turns around and sits back in the couch, picking up her coffee again. | |

| Oh thanks, that helped, so much! There was probably a brief touch of colour to his cheeks though he, it might've been the warmth from the coffee right?
He definitively was starting to imagine things... Lack of sleep, he was blaming it on the lack of sleep.
"Right..." the comment was more to himself than her as he walked back to sit down on the couch as before.

| She may have caught his reaction, may not have. It was hard to tell. She had already pulled her legs up underneath her, making herself comfortable as she sipped her coffee. She glanced at him out of the corner of her eyes as he sat down, smile still on her face as she quietly sipped her coffee. She seemed content sitting there quietly until he either wished to either do something or bring up a topic to talk about | |

| Hey, there were certain things you didn't do. Hit on your potential boss was one of them. And reading into things that was most likely only due to your head not having gotten any real rest in well over twentyfour hours was another.
The reasons why he often preferred blunt was simple: it spared him these kind of headaches as he threw a sideways glance at her. He just wasn't much of a player.
He opened his mouth, hesitated, closed it, opened it again, and once more, ended up not saying anything because he'd be damned if he knew what to say. G-damn it.

| The quiet didnt seem to bother her at all, rather it was quite welcome after being in a noisy bar. She seemed to notice his not knowing what to say but she doesnt draw attention to it. Really, after the whole picking up a vampire in her bar situation she wasn't really in the mood to be proactive or make any moves herself. She really didnt need more awkwardness. She eventually leaned her head back on the back of the couch as she watched the movie and continued to sip the coffee. | |

| He was quiet for a while longer before speaking. "So if I've read this completely wrong... what are my chances of not getting a busted jaw?" | |

| Well it was about damn time. "Highly doubt ye read anythin' wrong. Id say tha chance is slim ta none....." she says with a grin, though she still blushed slightly. Flirting as a bartender for tips, no problem. Flirting for real? Awkward, | |

| He was kind of used to dealing with awkward, it was the chances of getting hit that bothered him. Or well, getting kneed rated higher, but still in the same category. Throw in the fact that he could actually use the job and he that liked her? Screwing up was such a lousy option.
Ah fuck it. He'd been hit before.
He reached over, a warm hand finding her cheek as he simply leaned in and kissed her. Sweetly, mind you, he wasn't actually pushing for more.

| She didnt punch him, or kick him, or really even hesitate when he leaned in to kiss her. She leans into the kiss, moving one hand to rest on the back of his neck. Theres nothing in her body language to suggest shes looking for more at this point, but the kiss she is enjoying | |

| Oh thank God, he wasn't going to be speaking in a funny voice after all...
He let the kiss linger for a little while, and she could probably feel the smile that touched his lips even before he pulled back slightly to look at her. Though not so much that he'd lose the touch of her hand on the back of her neck, nor removing his own from her cheek.
"I hear it's a really bad idea to hit on your future boss..." Jack smiled.

| "Hey... gimmi a break here, I've had a long day" he chuckled, brushing a rough thumb over her cheek, though the touch itself was gentle, before gently pulling her a little closer so they could both be comfortable when he leaned in to kiss her softly once more. | |

| She moved closer to him easily, smiling as he kissed her again. He could feel her body relax now that things seem to have been decided. Well, at least for now.. | |

| He was careful about it, pulling her into his arms so that she could lean against him. His other arm slipping around her waist to hold her lightly while he tried not to worry about the fact that this was all so going to come back and bite him in the ass soon. Because no one had this kind of lucky streak without getting hit at some point.
Still, for the time being? He couldn't care less as he lingered with a smile in that embrace with her and simply enjoyed the moment for what it was.

| Her hand tightened on his neck slightly as his arm went around her waist. Her free hand resting on his waist as she leans against him. She seems just as eager to just enjoy the moment considering how the last month had been. The moment seemed to stretch on for quite some time before she pulled back slightly, though her hands hand let go of him yet. "I shoul' probably ge' 'ome soon......" she says softly, though it sounds like part of her wants to stay | |

| "Sure..." he said softly, brushing his fingers over her cheek as he smiled at her, though he hadn't exactly let her out of his arms yet. "I'm in no rush..." so honestly, it was alright if she wished to leave. Even if she seemed just fine with keeping her there. "Though, I need to tell you something" he rather not do anything and wait with telling her because... well, it was important. | |

| "Im no' really in a rush either ta be 'onest" She looks at him curiously, though there is apprehension on her face as the phrase 'I need to tell you something' never ends with something good. "Aye, wha' is i'?" she asked tentatively | |

| "No need to look like that" he smiled, trying to reassure her it would seem. "I... I got a heart condition. I'm telling you because the doctors said I wouldn't make it past thirty and I can't say if this is just something brief and casual or if it could turn into something more. And I rather not you feel I tricked you if..." well, to put it bluntly, if he didn't end up hanging around all that long. | |

| She lets out a sigh "Oy.....ok...." she says, looking relieved "I mean....." she pauses, frowning slightly "I' really makes no difference ta me. Though I appreciate ye tellin' me...." she pauses again "Oy....I never do know tha righ' things ta say...." she says apologetically | |

| "I don't think there's a right or wrong thing to say to be honest" there was a smile to his voice as much as to his lips. "It's fine" really. | |

| "Like what? I'm engaged? I've got mafia ties? I'm secretly a Justin Bieber fan?" he kissed her with another smile. | |

| "Ye wouldn' even believe me if I tol' ye. Bu' trust me.....this is very low on tha list o' things ye don' wan' ta 'ear." she says, smiling warmly as he kisses her again. "This I can deal with. Unless, o' course, i' is some brilliant plan ta trick women in ta bed with ye...." she teases | |
