He laughed.

He smiled back his father.

"Now, we were talking about not many denying you."

He sighed.

"I know father. I am sorry if you are disappointed when i do."

He chuckled.

"Oh but father I am sure I have annoyed you many times."

He laughed.

"Do not all children annoy their parents as they grow up?"

"Yes but hopefully they make them proud as well. That Is all we can truly ask for."

"It is usually difficult for a parent to not be proud of their child, you know. No matter what they do."

He smiled, understanding this as of late.

"Yes, I noticed. No matter how much trouble they get into."

He smirked.

"Daughter troubles, my son?"

He smiled and shook his head.

"She is used to being very independent. And she has a knack for turning up at the wrong place at the wrong time. She will be doing just fine, I blink and she is suddenly in front of someone dangerous. But I love her and she is such a good child."

He went serious for a moment.

"And how do i know that I am doing right by her? Sometimes..I worry."

"You don't. The truth is, you never will. You can only do the best that you can and hope that it is enough."

He smiled and nodded.

"I know I do not tell you enough, but I do love you and appreciate you father, no matter how disappointing i can be at times."
