Training for Friends (Teddy) - Sunflower Beach

Happy teddy bear was happy from the looks of it as he leaned back against Cassiel. If he had been able to make Mogwai sounds he undoubtedly would've.

"Yeah, I try to drag him out here as often as possible. Though not as if he's hard to ask. He loves swimming" the blond smiled as she fell into line next to the Rose, moving her hands behind her back to link her fingers as she walked.

"Does he now? I didn't know that," she smiled. "We both know how I swim," she chuckled.

"How is his... you know... learning going? You being his mentor and everything. Is it going well?"

Because she really did want to see him succeed.

The blond smiled at her, the two of them not exactly needing to walk far before they had sand under their feet.
"He's still adjusting I think. But he's doing better than I did at least though that's not saying much" she added with a chuckle. "No really, he's... he's getting the hang of things. Hell... he's a better vamp than I'll ever be, he was so before he was changed even. I'm suppose to handle his Accounting, but he knows more and understand more than I do. All I can offer is help to understand himself, understand how this whole change... effects him"

"Which is exactly why I think Jamie has you handling it," she nodded encouragingly. "He's got the laws and the rules down. He has for some time, right? But... You've got the time and the know how to do the understanding part. And the patience and the gentle touch. I think Jamie knew he would need that gentleness, to a certain extent."

She smiled, "And there is some truth about having it take a community to raise a child, you know. It gives Medwyn some different perspectives. Ones maybe even Jamie hadn't thought of before. It helps that there is genuine love there, too."

Her words had the Caitiff biting her lip softly with a smile. Maybe she was right, maybe that's why Jamie had trusted her like this. She hoped it was anyways, because it really was all she had to offer.

"I just hope I can give him what he needs. I just want him to be happy Cassiel. I want this to have been the right choice for him. I didn't have a choice, he did. I hope he made the right one... that... that it wasn't just because of me" because while a part of her was honoured he'd do this for her? She hoped, truly hoped, that he had done this for himself as well.

"Oh, I don't think you have anything to worry about in that regard," she chuckled. "He strikes me as the type of individual that understand the need to do things for himself here and there. It's not selfish, it's just one of those things... You have to do things for yourself before you can be effective for others. Honestly? I think he'd been ready, you know?"

She couldn't do much but nod. She wasn't sure though if anyone could ever truly be ready for what it all meant, though then again, Caitiff. She'd woken up dead, quite literally speaking. She wasn't sure she could picture having the knowledge of what it would be like beforehand.
"I guess so. I hope so" the blond said with a soft smile.

She smiled to Teddy and then, with one arm, held to Diego tightly. "Ready to go for a ride?" She asked the stuffed bear in a quiet whisper as she slid the bag from her shoulder and let it plop in the sand.

Of course, he wouldn't answer her, but that was alright. Cass couldn't help herself, the sand was so inviting. She gave Teddy a hip bump and then took off at a decent run only to do a series of one handed hand springs followed by a back flip. Because dammit, the sand was soft and it had been ages since she'd done it.

That and she thought Diego might really like getting some air. He was completely safe in her arms, though... if he was a bit wobbly after, she'd understand.

Oh the teddy bear seemed to love it, truly love it as he clapped his paws excitedly. And the Caitiff? Well, she couldn't be any worse now could she? So sure enough, the traceuse was quick to follow, moving far more gracefully than most people thought her capable of and landing with a ta-dah! next to Cassiel before flashing her a bright smile.
"You've gotten better" she smiled.

"Hey, I got all the time in the world to practice, right?" She smiled. "What about you? Scale and flip over any exotic buildings lately?" She touched Diego on the nose.

"Nah" she stretched her arms above her head and stretched her back like a lazy cat. "You get arrested for that sort of thing" the blond smirked at her. "And I don't do well behind bars" she snickered.

She made a face. "You get arrested for it?! Good Lord, how do you practice, then?"

"I practice" she said as she tilted her body sideways at her waist. "On not so exotic buildings where people don't care if you scale and flip over them" the blond chuckled, moving her upper body slowly forward while still stretching her arms. "And when you've gotten good enough" she added as she straightened up, leaned backwards aaaaand all the way back to touch her hands on the ground. "That's when you try the exotic things. Because rule number one is" she moved into a handstand, held it for a moment or two then let her feet touch back onto the ground as she finally and properly straightened up. "You gotta be good enough to run away afterwards"

"Aha!" Cass grinned. "I'm good at the running part..."

"You gonna teach Medwyn?" Eyebrow wiggle.

"I he wants to" she smiled, brushing her hands off on her pj pants to get rid of the sand. "I love it, but I dunno if it's his sort of thing though. But! I do drag him out on runs now and then" the blond nodded. "And I have already said I'm gonna teach him to surf"
Yup, she was so dragging him out on a board.

"Damn! I want to learn how to surf," she snapped her fingers. "But the whole pesky swimming thing gets in the way," she chuckled. She plopped right down in the sand, digging her hands in and beginning to look for 'buried treasure'.

"What's with the swimming anyways?" the blond smiled at her, crouching down next to her to rest her arms on her knees while Diego tried to mimic the Rose. Furry paws though were not made for digging.

Cass dug down deep enough to start pulling shells and sea glass out of the sand, putting it aside near her as she came across it.

"I just never really learned how," she chuckled. "I mean, I can float well. But the actual swimming? Eh... I'd get laughed out of a pool. Doesn't stop me from trying though."

"We should fix that you know" Teddy said as she reached out and picked up one of the pieces of sea glass Cassiel had dug out, brushing the sand off of it and holding it up to look at it.
She had to, because her mind kept wandering, and while the imagery was good... really, the Brujah looked very good coming out of the after a swim... it was also very distracting and the blond was easily distracted sometimes.
Focus, foooocus.
Pretty glass...
"You should come swimming sometime. Medwyn's a great swimmer"

"You guys will get a good laugh," she chuckled, handing her another piece of glass and then scooting Diego back with one hand so he wouldn't tumble into the hole.

But it was interesting! He flailed his hands in disagreement of getting pushed back.
"So what? It'll be fun. And you need to learn to swim properly if you wanna learn to surf" she said, wiping the piece of glass clean on her pants.

"Alright, if you want to fall head first into that hole, be my guest," she chuckled at Diego, letting him explore.

She looked up at Teddy and smiled. "It's on the list."

"From the way you say it I'm guessing it's a long long list huh?" she smiled, leaning over to pinch Diego in the back of his neck, lifting him up and placing him on her shoulder instead. Out of reach of the hole and out of the sand. Silly bear.

"Not really long... just..." Hm... "Different, I guess? Raz0r has me out running to build up my stamina. Estaban and Alex both want to teach me Fortitude, but that was never on the list. Though they both think they can do it without beating the crap out of me, so, yay! And of course I still have my studies with Jamie."

"Add in swimming an illusions and it's a pretty long list I'd say" the blond smiled at her, reaching down with one hand to trace her finger through the sand in a seemingly random pattern. "But, don't stress it yeah? I mean, we got time, and you've already shown you'll easily figure out the illusion bit. So make the swimming bit like, a break? When you've had enough of the other stuff, look at it as a way of simple relaxing a bit"
