Training for Friends (Teddy) - Sunflower Beach

"It does give me a reason to buy a new swimsuit," she chuckled. "But a break would be nice to have."

"Mm, reminds me... I need to get a new bikini.." she kinda owed Medwyn.

"One can never have too many bikinis. Ever," she nodded, saying it like is was the widest known truth in the universe.

Teddy tilted her head to the side, causing a few blond curls to bounce as she flashed the Rose a grin.
"Medwyn was disappointed I didn't have a thong" she chuckled.

"Why on EARTH would you own a thong?! It's not like those things are super comfortable, anyway."

She made a face and shivered.

"Butt floss."

Which resulted in the crouching Caitiff walling onto her behind with a giggle, arms still resting on her knees though as Diego flailed his arms and fell off her shoulder and into her lap.
"Yes indeed. Though, you know" the blond shrugged, lifting Diego so he could sit upright. "If he likes it...." well. "I promised him I'd get a polka dot one. Gonna see if I can't find one with all the colours of the rainbow to make up for the fact that I'll be wearing a butt floss bikini"

"We'll go to Victoria's Secret or something-- betcha you can find what you're looking for there," she giggled.

"What? They do rainbow coloured thongs these days? thought Victoria's Secret was suppose to be like, classy?" Teddy grinned as Diego crawled off her lap and fell onto the sand with a low fump sound. Because that's the sound of a fluffy teddy bear hitting sand.

"Trust me, they do rainbow. All that shit you see on tv with the Vickie Hush Hush fashion show? Good luck finding have that crap in the stores. Seriously," she shook her head.

"Rainbow it is then!" the blond exclaimed happily, not really paying attention to the bear who was now tugging at Cassiel's pants, wanting to get picked up again. "At least with a bit of colour I wont feel like a complete moron wearing it" she grinned.

Cass reached over and picked Diego back up, putting him in her lap with a poke on his nose.

"Well, it's for Medwyn, right? I mean..." she looked left and then right. "How long would you possibly be wearing it?"

Teddy wasn't generally the shy type, never had been, never would be. But then again, Cassiel hadn't seen her in love either. And that comment? That alone was enough to turn her otherwise pale skin a hot pink colour.
"I uhm..."
Goldfish moment as she tried to think of something to say. And failed. Miserably.

"Girl, come on now. When a guy wants you to wear something for him it's so he can take it off of you. Seriously. That's the way it works. He sees you in it and then gets all hot and bothered and then wants it gone so he can... you know..."

She didn't see where there was anything to be embarrassed about, not really.

She bit her lip and looked at the sand between her knees and the random pattern she'd been making. It looked a bit like a silhouette actually now that she thought about it.
"Heh true.." she smiled.
Really, not the shy type but it had been a long time since she'd been with anyone, longer yet since she'd fallen for someone. And she hadn't just fallen for Medwyn... she'd just... melted.
"The miniskirt in the elevator worked at least" the blond added in a slightly embarrassed mutter, still with a lingering blush though.

"You want a subject change, don't you..."

Honestly, she wasn't trying to make her blush...

Unlike, say, Medwyn, who appeared to have made it a life goal of his to make her blush as often as possible.

"Mm.." she shook her head and looked over at Cassiel. "I'm alright. I'm just.." she seemed to think about it for a moment before casually shrugging her shoulders. "Acting like a teenager. I meant what I said Cass... Medwyn's the first one in twelve years... and, the second one I've ever felt anything for. And he's... this, this is different from then" because this? This felt like the real deal.
She had loved her first ever lover, but Medwyn made her feel complete.

"It feels a bit funny, doesn't it?" She smiled warmly to Teddy. "Like you didn't actually know how you got by in your life before."

"I never thought I'd get to be with him..." the blond said softly, meeting her friend's gaze. "Not like this... I'd kind of settled on maybe being able to see him a few times a week at most and make the best of what time I could get with him. But this?" she smiled and let out a low sigh. "I didn't think I'd have this... and you're right... I don't know how I got by without him... that whole part of things feels like one big blur now"

"Blur or not, I can already see how much you cherish him, Teddy. And it's a blur because you're in love," she smiled. "This one won't slip away, you know. You'll have each other for a good long time."

"I hope so..." Teddy smiled, wrapping her hands around her knees to pull them close to her body, her feet moving over the drawing in the sand, a man's silhouette against the backdrop of a water line and a sunset by the looks of it, smudging it out as she rested he chin on her knees.
"I'd be lost without him now" she said softly, burying her toes in the sand.

Cass knew that feeling. She knew it all too well.

But she had a Diego! And she was playing with him in her arms-- kid stuff like tickling his belly and running a piece of string over his hands.

"Positivity, sugar," she smiled. "With the right attitude, anything is possible."

Was she a bit of a hypocrite at the moment? Yeah... well.. she was working on that, dammit!

"Hey, I thought I normally was positive?" the blond smirked in Cass' direction. "I can't help it if he's made me go all soft" the blond smiled slightly embarrassed again. "I like it that he makes me go soft"

"Ain't nothing wrong with being soft with the one you love," she smiled. "Just remember communication."

Oh boy... look... more hypocrisy. Cass was batting a thousand.

Teddy nodded, seemingly not caring/knowing/picking up on the hypocrisy part, because what she said was inevitably true, whether or not she followed it herself.
"Communication isn't a problem, first I promised him, that I'd tell him things rather than let them turn into trouble. And he promised me the same. And I intend to honour that promise" she smiled, crossing her heart with the pinkie of her right hand. "We'll hopefully live a long time together, I'd like for that time to be as good as it can possibly be. And I certainly don't intend to let it be ruined by the lack of communication. Hell... when have you known me to shut up?" seriously?

"I never have, you motor mouth," she chuckled. "All I'm saying is that... sometimes... sometimes things happen that are beyond your control and you might want to, well, close yourself off from people, including Medwyn. And as much as you'll want to do that, you can't let yourself do it. That's all I meant."
