She blinked.

"I'm not... I'm not entirely sure what that means, Grace."

"Ye're my blood an' so is he. So I'll be trusting ye t' do th' wards."

She nodded.

"They take a full night to cast, so giving me an advanced warning is preferable. So that I can have things set up at home that no one will go freaking out if I just disappear."

She nodded.

"Of course."

She smiled again.

"Good. Pretty sure I know what's going on here, but I want to cover my bases. I've been wrong before."

She frowns.

"Ye want t' share? Or is it just Ben tha' ye think is under th' gun?"

She frowned, obviously trying to decide something or another.

"I think the other one at risk is the former Seneschal. I'll be warning him, too, but between the two of us, I'm sure that we can make people safe."

She nods.

"Fro' th' tone o' th' call I got, th' council be wantin' us t' solve th' problem for 'em. Tha' is nay somethin' I'm like t' do. But 'less it be th' full council, we can protect 'em."

She shook her head.

"It was the full council."

She sighed.

"Then we will hope tha' they only wish t' have this Domain deal wi' it and keep their damned noses out o' it."

She leveled Grace with a look. You know the kind.

"Don't be silly. You know better."

She snorted.

"I live t' dream. Still, least they've given us warning tha' we need t' be on th' watch for 'em. Any word from Victor on this?"

She shook her head.

"No. Buuuut, I can grab Victoria, see if she's heard anything. I'd almost guarantee that they've called Victor, though. It's just downright dumb of them not to, and they're arrogant, but they're not stupid."

She nodded.

"Then I will leave that in your hands. I dinna want t' do much more on't than I already have. I will nay d' th' dirty work o' th' Damned Tremere."

She watched the Gangrel for another few moments.

"If they're telling people... about me. I might not be able to stay here."

She paused.

"They said nothin' o' ye."

She was quiet for a moment. Then she closed her eyes.

"They told Ethan."

She gave a big sigh. Then wrapped her arms around the woman.

"Miheala, I'm so sorry."

She was shaking. It was very rare for her to do that, much less where someone could see or feel. Which meant that she was clinging to the smaller woman, her arms wrapped around her and her head buried in the woman's shoulder as though she were no more than a child who clung to her mother.

"Me too. I don't know what to do."

Yay fortitude. It meant that it didn't really matter how tight the woman clung.

"Wha' did Ethan say?"

She shook her head.

"Nothing. He doesn't know that I know that he knows."

Did that make sense? She thought it did.

She wasn't letting go anytime soon.

"How d' ye know?"

She shook her head, just a little bit.

"With a new Clan comes new abilities," she whispered softly. "I can see and hear things that I sometimes maybe shouldn't."

She nods. Good enough for her.

"Is he th' only time ye heard ye're name said?"

She nodded.

"That I know of. Other than the call to Estaban, which I heard because he put them on speaker."
