He sighs.

"I will talk with her about it. I don't play games. Oh, I am a flirt, there is no doubt about that, but not a game player. Any suggestions other than talking with her?"

He shrugged. "Dunno, hon. This is your deal. She knows what ta expect with me. I dunno what she expects ta get with ya. Or if she even does."

"My fear is that what she wants and what I can provide here are two completely different things. You know what they say about a woman scorned."

He just blinked. "Ya wanna expand on that statement some, darlin'?"

He looked curious.

"The woman scorned statement or the the first one?"

He smirked. "Tha first 'un."

"Ah, you mean I fear that what she wants and what I can give her are different. I am a flirt and she seems to have a strong sex drive. Now I respect that, but right now I cannot help her with that. Is that what you meant?"

His brows rose. "Why can't ya? I mean. Yeah, it's healthy all right. 'Fraid ya can't keep up?"

He laughed.

"That might be true, I have no idea. The most I did was kiss her once. I'm... in a relationship with Sheriff Ra'idah. And she doesn't want me messing with greer."

He looked thoughtful. "Tell ya what. Ya get me some quality alone time with tha Sheriff, I'll make sure she lets ya play with Greer."

He laughed.

"Well if anyone could I am sure it would be you. But you see, I am okay with her not wanting anyone else. And Greer, well she is just not worth it. Ra'idah is the first woman I have met worth giving up all the others for."

His brows rose. "Ya gotta be kiddin' me."

He shrugged.

"I would never have believed I could feel this way. Right now I am still working toward it, haven't been able to go cold turkey."

He snorted. "Then ya ain't ready for it. Ya know what's funny? All she woulda had ta say is that she loved me. Just once. Say she wanted ta be with me. I've been a playboy for 'bout four centuries, hon. She woulda had ta say it once an' there wouldn'ta been a question from me. I'da taken her over 'em all any day. In a heartbeat. An' I never got the chance ta. It was Ethan she wanted. An' I respected that. But I'da given 'em all up for her. She woulda only had ta say three little words."

"Maybe, but I have known Ra'i for 6 months. How long did you know Gris, how long did it take to get there? I didn't fall for her at first sight. It took me a while. I know what I want."

There was a sound to his voice.

He looked at him. Smirked. "Honestly? 'Bout three weeks."

He sighed.

"You make me wonder if I am good enough. Of course she doesn't want to change me. And yet.. I know what I want to be for her. I know I want to be better for her."

He shrugged. "Then just do it, hon. Be all like Nike an' shit."

He thought about it for a moment.

"I want to. I want to just be different. And I am working on it. But I know who I am. I know what I have been trained to do, trained to be."

He shook his head. "Forget that shit. Either she's more important or she ain't."

"Just do it huh? Cold turkey. And promise and never look at another person again ever."

Both brows rose. "Not fuckin' forty women a week ain't tha same as not lookin', hon. Ya can look all ya want. It's tha doin' that matters."

He laughed.

"I slowed down to 6 in 6 months, including familial obligations and her. And already promised her just her and whoever she picks."

His brow rose. "Ya plan on keepin' ta that?"

"You mean just her and who she picks? Yeah. As far as I can tell that means just her and two others. And yes, I do plan on keeping to that."
