To have a chat (Estaban) - The Den

The call had been made. Now the Brujah just waited.

A knock sounded on the door. It was of course a rather good looking Latin gentleman, standing and just looking patient and perfectly at home, which he managed to do it looking quite relaxed.

He opened the door. He shooed one of the dogs out of the way. "Hey, hon. Come on in."

He smiled sweetly.

"Good to see you Jim. I was a little surprised by your call. How are you doing?"

He nudged the dogs out of the way. "Been all right. How 'bout yourself?" Then he held the door open. "Come on in. We ain't gonna hurt ya."

He chuckled.

"How disappointing."

He walked in as he was invited, letting the other man close the door and then guide him around.

He watched the dogs, offering a hand if one tried to sniff him.

"Beautiful animals Jim.

He closed the door. Then whistled sharply. He let the dogs out through a sliding glass door in the back. "They were Griselda's. Now they're mine."

He nods, already knowing this, though this is the first he had seen of them.

"Well they are beautiful. And I am doing fine. thank you."

He walked in and looked around a little, but was mostly ready for whatever McKay had brought him here for.

He pointed toward the living room area. It had been decorated by a woman. That much was obvious. "Have a seat, hon."

He nodded and sat down in the general area he pointed to, his legs crossing in a very refined way. His arms were open and his smile sweet.

"Thank you."

He had asked already. McKay would speak when he wished to.

He sat down on the edge of an armchair. Then quirked a brow at the Harpy. "So, wanna tell me what was up with tha whole deal of settin' me up with Greer?"

ah.. that.

"Not much to tell. She was frustrated, you mentioned a difficulty, I knew instantly you two could help each other. And it would keep her from pursuing me for a little while. Triple win."

His brow lifted quizzically. "Ya know, I'm kinda surprised that the Woman didn't come back from tha grave ta kick my ass. She's a nice girl an' all, but she's still a fuckin' Daughter of Cacophany."

He nodded.

"Did Griselda have a problem with Daughters?"

He seems surprised. No really.

He shook his head. "Not the Daughters, specifically. She didn't like their Melpominee an' whatnot, to be honest. Which translates ta tha fact she hated Daughters. But it's not tha women themselves that she hated."

He nodded.

"I am sorry if I caused any problems by introducing you. She seems sweet if a little desperate. "

His brows lifted. "A woman like that ain't never desperate, hon. I'm hopin' I didn't fuck up too bad by takin' her out." He shook his head. "Man, tha Woman would eat me alive if she were here."

He looked at Jim with a sad smile. Because the woman was such a sore subject.

"I don't know. She might be more worried about you than anything else. And you maybe surprised. You didn't hear how much she complained about the way the men of the domain were treating her. Nearly convinced me no one was paying attention to her at all."

His brow rose quizzically. "Really? Cause tha way I hear tell it ya been givin' her plenty of attention."

He smiled.

"I was told that every man in this Domain was being too much a gentleman to actually do anything. Was actually told be her that she guessed I was no better than them. Really quite embarrassing considering my reputation. I was rather feeling challenged. was about to try and prove her wrong when something work related came up and I had to leave.

I am letting her use my music room, and have listened to her music, talked with her. But, no... evidently not enough of the right kind of attention."

He frowned. "She thinks ya are playin' with her. I gotta admit, I ain't much a fan of that thought, hon."

He looked at Jim, surprised.

"Jim, do I seem like someone who plays with another? Except for when they want to be? No, I am not playing games with her. I...have a regular girl. Someone I care alot about. She has been fine with my ways. But she says no to this. So when Greer got frustrated I backed off. The fact that you could take care of her frustration was good. I wasn't counting on it but Introducing her to you gave you both an opportunity."

He watched the Toreador. "All right. If ya happen ta be playin' games with her, ya might wanna let me know pretty quick. I get a little angry sometimes."

He smiled and nodded.

"I know you do Jim. And I understand. But no. I am not playing games. Can I ask what kind of games you think I am playing?"

He shrugged. "No idea. All's I know is that Greer feels like ya been playin' games with her. An' she ain't real happy about it."
