Stop! Party Time! (Miyu's Party)

She laughed and returned the kiss to the cheek.

"Either that or they really like to party and just want an excuse."

"Shush, I hired an expert for this one. Besides, people wanting to party don't bring you fine art."

Her lips twitched.

"People wanting to party do not often invite a man, his girlfriend and his mistress all to the same place."

Victor smirked
"You are the harpy. I'm just... hey for once I'm nothing. No, strike that. I'm doing sneaky work again. But you are the harpy, that's your problem."

She started to shake her head.

"Oh, no. Not going to touch it. Nope. I refuse."

"See that's what makes you good. Care to dance? Two good legs now, you don't have to drag me across the dance floor"

She laughed.

"Oh, are we dancing? Or are we waiting for the Redheaded Tremere Show you desperately wanted to see?"

"Oh like your Toreador instincts wouldn't kick in there?" he chuckled "Besides that's unseemly. I'd rather dance with you." Which was the honest truth. Eye candy was nice, but you couldn't snuggle up on a couch with eye candy after a bad day and just relax knowing you were with somebody you cared about and cared about you. Victor liked to look but never to stray.

Her lips twitched.

"I'm not attracted to girls. My Toreador instincts would be safe."

Victor grinned and set his drink on the bar while asking Griselda for dance music without even thinking what that might get him into...

With a quiet murmur to James McKay, she let go of his hand to step away to listen to Victor. Then she started to grin.

"Well, I did promise Oriella a love song. How about we start with that?"

Victor had the helpless deer in headlights look. He looked at Griselda and then to Miyu and then back to Griselda. "The last time I seriously danced with Miyu was in Paris, during the middle of World War Two and I was dressed as a Gestapo officer, and a French jazz band was playing. Help."

Her lips twitched at that.

"Well, then I'll definitely pick Orie's love song, then. Just put your arms around her waist and if all else fails, let her lead. No big fancy waltzes or anything, you can just kind-of sway to the music and it'll be all fine. Don't worry. I'll teach you the tango starting next week."

"Ok... I'm going to dance now."

She grinned and gave him a wink -- then her voice rose.

"Hey, Oriella! I promised you a love song, didn't I?"

Orie's voice rose above the crowd where she was standing, too.

"Yes, you did, woman! And you better make it a good one!"

Victor went back to Miyu and chuckled. "Remember how you said that my odd ways of being out of touch was endearing? I'm going to be endearing again pretty soon."

"Oh, guuuurl, I've got you!" she called out across the room.

She moved to the jukebox, made her selection and actually started to sing to Oriella. And -- shock of shocks -- it wasn't nearly as smartass as people might have expected.

"You are?"

"Well... I'm going to try and dance" he grinned as the music started

She laughed and shook her head.

"You're in way over your head, then."

Victor put his arm around her waist and smiled. "That's nothing new, shall we?"

She laughed and slipped her arms around his shoulders.

"Of course we should. Also, I think I like this song a lot."

She was letting him take the lead in their dancing. Even if she was much better at dancing.
