Distractions Necessary (Open)

He smiled at her and leaned in to kiss her lips.

"Yeah, it is. Want to sleep in my bed tonight with me?"

"Yes I'd like that." kissing him back. "Your dry cleaning will be a day late." with a smirk at him.

He snorted.

"Whatever. It's clothes."

She laughed, "It's habit to have it ready for you." going to get up and put the popcorn bowl in the sink, she'd clean it tomorrow, and taking the soft blanket with her to his room.

He was making sure that the door was locked, turning off the TV and the lights and heading for the bedroom with her.

"Yeah, but I own enough suits that having a few at the dry cleaner's for an extra day isn't really an issue."

"Okay," she double checked to make sure they were locked in safely as well, and went with him. "I'm just use to the rotation, and you know me, I have to apologize." with a half smile at him.

He laughed as he shut off the last of the lights and followed her into his bedroom.

"You're so catholic it hurts, babe."

"I"ve been working on it." with a smile back over her shoulder at him.

He laughed and reached over to gently slap her rear.

"You're so bad at it."

She laughed at the slap, "What every recovery show I've seen says it takes a long time...." with a grin back at him and another rear wiggle.

He laughed out loud at that, starting to get undressed for bed.

"Twelve steps to recovery from catholicism. That's going to be a reality show soon."

"Oh that would be scary. Step one - unlearn the rosary?"

Setting her blanket down, but reaching for his shirt to put in the laundry pile.

He started to pull off his pants and shoes, too.

"How in the hell do I know? I was never Catholic."

She waited for his other clothes to put them in the right places - and his shoes too --

"No you just like to take full advantage of this one." with a teasing grin at him.

He laughed.

"Well, since you make it so easy."

"Oh and can I quote you on that?" with a laugh because she found the comment funny to her.

He laughed at that.

"Yeah, you can quote me."

She grinned at him, "which side is yours?"

He shrugged.

"I don't have a side. Pick one and I'll sleep on the other."

"Good to know." with a smile at him, then she choose the side closest to the door.

"And sleep well."

He took the other side of the bed and slipped an arm around her.

"You too, Ali. Goodnight."

She slid her fingers into his around her waist "I will now."

He tugged her close and smiled, closing his eyes.
