Drifting (open)

Luke drifted into the shady looking strip club once again. He was well dress but more because those were the only sort of clothes he owned and less he had put any effort into looking presentable. He roamed over to the corner of the bar took a see and ordered a drink. He turned and let his eyes sweep over the club then pretending to nurse his drink as he did drinking in the lust and want in the room. Places like this were always good for the soul.

He was certainly not the only one in the bar. The redhead sat more toward the middle of the bar, sipping on a drink with a straw. It was a steady drinking, though, and she was turned with her back to the bar, leaning against it, so she could watch the dancers ... could you really call that dancing? Dry-humping a metal pole, which was bound to be cold, thank you very much. But she wouldn't have called it dancing. Still, it was a decent distraction from her everyday life, so she watched the bump-and-grind.

Lukes eye's settled on Oriella, because really how could they not. He wasn't in a very flirty place but he did want to lose himself. It was why he was here after all, To forget her leaving if he could in a wash of lust and want.

He rose from the bar and moved over to the redhead and upon reaching her spoke times oldest bar come on, "Is this seat take?" he asked as he gesture to a seat beside her

It was maybe the oldest come-on in the book, but that didn't bother her at all. She had an answer for nearly everything, and now was not a time for her to turn speechless. She wouldn't have been half as awesome as she was if she forgot her tongue and its best uses now.

"Is anyone sitting in it? If not, then no."

He offered a crooked smile to her response and slid into the seat beside her. Though even that seamless motion seemed some how frayed about the edges.

"Fair enough. I'm Luke" He said in way of introduction

She turned, just slightly. Just swiveled on her stool to take one of the hands around her glass and offer it to him. There was heat to her hand, but it was a bit chilled from the glass she was holding in her hand.

"Oriella."

He accepted her offered hand, folding her fingers offer his palm in an older greeting apporiate to a lady. He gave her a smile as he did, a smile wicked sort of expression. She was warm and attractive and as their hands touched so of that frayed edges sense left him.

"A pleasure to meet you Oriella" He said adding something to the word pleasure that was some how more then how other people said the word. As though it held greater and deeper meaning when he said it and wasn't just a casual turn of phrase.

She watched him curiously. It was more curious than anything, as if there were something about him that she seemed to be studying.

"Is it? Really?"

That wicked smile of his grew a bit as he responded with a little shrug

"One can always hope"

Word games! She liked word games. Her face first scrunched, then it broke into a broad, bright smile.

"Which one is it? You hope it's a pleasure, or it is a pleasure? It can't be both ..."

"Can't? It is a pleasure to meet you and yet our meeting is a thing still in progress, so is it not fair to hope it remains so or even perhaps becomes a greater pleasure still?"

She shook her head, still smiling broadly. She sat her glass down on the bar behind her almost absentmindedly, then gripped the edge of the stool in both hands, her arms outstretched as she pretty much straddled the bar stool. Then she started to swivel a little, back and forth. The gesture was much more cute than it maybe should have been.

"No ...it can't. Because now that you've met me, it was either a pleasure to meet me or it wasn't. There's now only hope for the continued conversation to be either as pleasant or more pleasant than the meeting was. If, of course, the original statement that it is a pleasure to meet me holds true."

His eyes twinkled with amusement as he considered her counter. His eyes drank her in as she repositioned herself now fully engaged in the conversation. It really was rather cute and it made him smile a bit more.

"You have make fair points. I believe I stand corrected. It has been a pleasure meeting you , it is a pleasure speaking with you. As that for the moment at least is stilll on going."

She giggled, a surprisingly adorable sound, and tossed her hair over one shoulder.

"Round one goes to me, loverboy."

He laughed a little at her cute giggle and bit his lip softly as he smiled at her "So it does. So what should round two be over?"

She gave him a once over, her eyes bright as she seemed to be coming to some conclusion. She pursed her lips, and yes, it was still cute. Every part of her seemed cute, with a hint of the sensual in the curve of her muscles.

"Let me guess. You want me to pick something, so you can make some suggestive comment about it, or try to make it into one, since you're trying to hit on me. You're just not quite as direct as most people tend to be, and I'm a little bit better at this game than you."

She didn't seem unfriendly when she said it. But she picked up her drink with one hand, sipping her straw as she looked back out over the ... dancers. How she loathed to think of them that way.

"actually to be more precise I am hitting on you. Rather I accomplish anything from it is still in question but since I have successfully through word or action convied interest and you have picked up on it then it seems I have successed in hitting on you. Absolutely no try about it" He countered with a smile and small shrug as her attention wandered away from him back to the 'dancers'.

Her lips curved upward into a smirk as she shook her head.

"You actually haven't succeeded in hitting on me. Trust me on this one; I'm a pro. I didn't pick up on any interest that you might have tried to convey, I just know your type."

She still hadn't taken her eyes off the ... women. We'll just go with that.

"Oh Christ how I weary of this and that about my type. Which type would I be at the moment? What aspect of me is currently my defining feature that so dominates the others that they are relegated to the same classification as it." He was still well he didnt know what he was but he wasnt fully whole since the fight with Teagan and her leaving.

He turned his attention away from the stunningly cute red head and back to the dancers as well. He wasnt playful enough for such banter tonight.

"The type who actually expects me to fall on my back with my hand to my forehead and my thighs spread wide, screaming 'take me! Take me now!' because you deigned to show me a modicum of your attention. Like I said before; I'm a pro. I'm better at this game than you. See? I'm still winning. You're getting pissed."

"your not winning dear. You won. Congratulations on your victory" He offered her a polite but distant smile. He raised his glass to her in a salute as he rose smoothly from the stool and made his way back to the corner from which he came with out a backward glance.

She made an almost-disappointed face when he rose from his stool. Her hand came up so she could wiggle her fingers at him in a wave. She didn't look bitchy ... just amused, and maybe a little disappointed.

Luke took his seat once more. She had been fun till she turned talking into a competition and decided he was a type instead of a person. That wasn't what he need this evening. Company would be nice even clothed company but he didn't need the grief of some strange woman being jaded at him.

Johnathon walked into the strip club and looked around with a smile as he tucked his decidedly victorian looking dark glasses into his vest pocket

Seeing an empty chair, he sat down next to the blonde man and carefully looked him over. "And a good evening to you sir"

Luke looked away from the dancers to the man who had just approached him. He looked the man over taking him in and nodded in greeting "Good evening"
