Distractions Necessary (Open)

She looked back at him, "You said you wanted JUST a movie....." as her top from work went flying towards the kitchen.

He laughed.

"I did. But I'm not sure that's all you want."

"You know what I ALWAYS want, I'm the frat boy of the relationship." with a laugh and her pants followed her top.

He moved into the kitchen to start doing the dishes.

"I've noticed that. At least you've got more brains than a frat boy, from what I've seen."

She laughed and he heard the shower starting in her bathroom.

Which meant that he turned his attention toward doing the dishes.

She came out about 15 minutes later, she was naked, but her one piece of jewelry she never took off and her hair twisted in a towel on top of her head. "Do you care which movie?" as she picked up her work clothes.

He was nearly finished cleaning up the kitchen, peeking his head out and grinning at her.

"Dinosaurs!"

Because he is five inside.

"Okay, I had a feeling you'd choose them over Mummy's" with a grin back at him "Oh do we still have popcorn left?" heading to her room.

He checked the cabinets.

"Yeah, we've got one bag left. Want me to go ahead and pop it?"

"Yes please." she called out while she finished getting ready to watch the movie.

about time the popcorn was done she stepped back out in a silky night shirt, with her hair braided, and a super soft blanket.

holding the movie in her hand, "Is your dry cleaning out for me to take for you tomorrow?"

He was emerging from the kitchen with a large bowl of popcorn.

"Yep. In the usual place. And am I picking you up from work tomorrow?"

"That would be nice, it's a busy night and that way I don't have to call a cab if I run late and miss the bus." with a grin at him. She still didn't have a working car most of the time.

He smiled and moved to the couch, sitting the popcorn down on the coffee table.

"All right. I'll text to let you know when I'll be out of work."

"Sounds good, I hope it's a steady but not frantic night." going to set up the movie, then sitting beside him on the couch, "share blanket or not?" with a grin at him as she started to get comfy on the couch beside him.

He tugged some of the blanket over his legs.

"Don't be stingy."

"Okay okay.' pressing play, pulling the popcorn bowl on her lap as she leaned into him, "NO quoting the movie the whole time this time either."

He looked over at her and pouted.

"Not even a little bit?"

"Okay a little bit, but not the WHOLE movie." with a smile at him "At least not Lauren Dern's part okay?"

He took his index finger and made an "x" over his chest.

"Cross my heart."

"Okay then you can quote the rest." laying against his side and taking a bite of the popcorn.

He seemed satisfied with that, leaning back to quote most of the movie. Because dinosaurs, damn it.

She quoted Lauren Dern's parts. Cause Damn It she wanted to get her part to quote cause well yes there were dinosaurs!

Which surprised him. But it also delighted him, his face lighting up. Because this. This right here. This was what a relationship was. Mutually quoting Jurassic Park.

She grinned as they finished the movie quoting it to each other and then laughed as he did the line of NOT SUPPORTING THE Park, and she looked at him, "It's almost that time." with a pout at him, because it had been a fun night.
