Second Drink (Jack) - Jack's Attic

Eve, in her dirty plain Jane girl disguise nocked on the door. She was wearing the fox hoodie. The front of the hoodie buldged out and moved like there might be a chest burster in there.

He opened the door currently dressed in a pair of jeans and that's about that leaving the tattooed and scarred skin of his torso visible. By the looks of it, she'd caught him on the way out of the shower, because his hair was wet and he had a towel in one hand.

"Oh, hey" Jack smiled and stepped aside sounding a bit surprised. "I didn't expect you to use the door. Everything alright?" he asked, closing the door behind her once she had stepped inside.

She walked in and closed the door and then opened the jacket so the monkey could get free.

The monkey jumped away from Eve and ran off, checking himself. The little guy looked like he was getting his dignanty back

"I had to bring Monkey!"

Oh, right, monkey. The monkey with the serious name. Thaaat he couldn't remember at the moment.

"Oh, yeah, monkey" he chuckled, a bit surprised but he'd had a lot on his mind lately so no one could blame him for being a bit forgetful. Jack sat haunched down and rested his arms on his elbows, a light tilt to his head as he watched the little fellow. "Hey there"

Monkey littled at his hand with great disdain. Turned his nose up at it and started off to explore the apartment.

"Oh I told him to be nice... jeez." Eve put her hands on her hips and sighed. "So you ready for your second drink and animal talking lesson?"

Well, he found he couldn't really be offended by a monkey (as of yet anyways) so he stood back up and gave Eve a smile.
"Yeah, just eh... Any chance we could like, put the blood in a glass or something? No offence, but it feels kinda weird drinking from your arm" he hoped she could understand that, he was, after all, human. "I'm not a vampire after all" Jack added with a chuckle.

"Ya, whatever floats your boat." She said. Her skin was dirty anyway, not the best expierience likely.

"Get yourself a glass I guess." She said, not really making a big deal out of something that was actually a pretty big deal.

As a ghoul, there were things you probably shouldn't be doing, like treating your Domitor like your little sister. Jack being Jack, there were also things he couldn't have cared less about as he waked over, picked her up and simply carried her over so she could sit ont he kitchen counter.
That was, unless she stopped him from doing so.

"I hope you don't mind. I'll probably get used to it after a little while but it's... still a bit strange to me" it probably didn't make much sense to a vampire who'd lived hundreds of years, but he was simply being honest.

Eve wasn't like most elders; Eve didn't mind in the least. She laughed when he picked her up and squirmed on the counter when she was set down.

"Eh, it's fine, I'm not offended. You eat people food not blood. You'll get used to it!"

He picked a glass from one of the shelves and handed it to Eve before throwing another look over at the monkey, assuming he could see where he'd gone off to that was.
"Hope your friend lightens up a bit, he seemed a tad annoyed there" Jack smirked as he chucked the towel onto a nearby chair and reached for his t-shirt, to cover up the tattoo and the scars. He could, after all, at least pretend to be civilized.

Eve chuckled and cut open her wrist with her own claw. When she started pouring it into the cup, Monkey came creaming over expecting the glass was his.

"Not for you Monkey." She said to him firmly. He looked at her confused. "Ya, he better or Monkey will get his ass beat!"

"No need for that, I'm sure I can find something to bribe him with so he will at least accept me" he just needed to figure out what.

Pulling his t-shirt on he looked at the animal with a curious look as if maybe he could figure out what the monkey would like by staring at him long enough.

She finished filling the glass and handed it to Jack. The monkey promptly lost his shit when he saw that his blood was being given to this smelly human.

Eve hissed at the monkey and then started shouting at it in Monkey sounds. Monkey did the most imppressive pout and sulked off.

Then to Jack she said, "Ya, maybe give him some food."

Uhm, yes, he grabbed a beer from the fridge to cover some of the blood taste. Though first, he grabbed some oatmeal biscuits and some fruits and placed them on the edge of the table for Monkey to take while Jack himself downed the drink.
"I think I'm gonna need to stack up on bribes for this guy"

Monkey glanced over and sniffed the air, but stubbornly stayed away from the delicious treats.... for now.

"Eh, he'll warm up to you. Esspecially once you two can talk."

"Yeah" he downed both drinks, the blood first, then the beer. "How does that work? I can pretend to sound like a monkey but that doesn't really do much except make me look like an idiot"

She watched him drink the blood. Then looked back over to the sulking monkey who was glancing over now and then at the treats.

"Well Monkey talk is easier. But you can talk normal too. When you're learning though, Monkey talk!" She held up a finger.

"Eventually you'll be able to get the power from my blood and talk to animals. You use your beast to talk to other beasts. That's animalism."

"That's kinda cool" he nodded with a smile at her. "I dunno if it's coincidence or not by the way, but I seem to have gotten stronger. Might be that my heart is better, I dunno" Jack shrugged casually before putting the bottle down and picking up a couple of biscuits and some grapes, sitting down on his haunches again and holding them out to the monkey.
He was stubborn as well, and from what he could tell, the animal did want the treats.

"Oh ya, the blood does that. Makes you tougher!" Eve must have forgotten to mention it, oh well!

The Monket looked over and licked his lips. He casually started making his way over, slowly, pausing to look at things, like he wasn't really going for the food, just taking a stroll.

"Yeah? Huh... does a lot of weird things you apparently, the blood I mean" Jack smiled as he decide to sit down and placed one of the treats on the floor a bit in front of him, giving Monkey a chance to get at it without having to take it from Jack directly.

"Oh, ya, totally! And it will make more changes over time. Like you'll be able to hold more and more Vitae in your body and you'll regenerate limbs easier and better."

The Monkey scooted forward and waited until Jack looked away to snatch a treat.

"Yeah, I'm still not too keen on testing out the whole limb regeneration thing" he admitted with a chuckle as he caught a glimpse of the monkey out of the corner of his eye. "I'm not gonna bite you, you know?" he said to the animal, holding out another treat with two fingers.

"Well, it'll happen. Live long enough and everything will happen to ya." Eve laughed. To the monkey she said, "Well go on, then, you know you want it."

The monkey looked annoyed but took the food and munched on it.

"Now, Monkey, look Jack in the eye and do as you're told. He's gunna try to talk to ya." Eve said in human speech for Jack's sake.

The monkey finished his snack BEFORE looking Jack in the face with a scowl.

"Ok, Monkey greeting is something like this..." Eve made a screechy sound. "Give it a try."

Good thing he didn't take himself too seriously. Good thing that there was only the two of them there. Well, three technically speaking if you counted the monkey.

Jack drew his breath and did his best impersonation of the sound Eve had made. It... wasn't spot on, so God knew what he'd actually ended up saying.

The monkey was profoundly unhelpful and laughed.

Eve hissed at him and encouraged Jack, "Good keep trying."
