She held up a hand.

"I'm confused. I thought that he went crazy on you and it sparked labor?"

"He did," she looked at her. "He sparked labor and my son was born dead. So it is my opinion that he killed us both."

She nodded.

"And it was the birthing that killed you?"

"It's possible. I have always blamed the beating, thinking that if he hadn't done that, then I could have survived the birth. But it is possible. It could have been a combination or it could have been from hemorrhaging from the birth. Either way, he was still responsible for the death of our son."

"All right. I believe that your husband still lives."

"Given what I have seen, I would place that in the realm of possibilities..." Though she gave a skeptic look to the redhead. "Though I do not understand how."

"You could say that. Though he ought to be more concerned with where his soul ends up."

"Creatures like us don't have a soul."

She chuckled. "Yes, you do. You are just as likely to enter Oblivion as much as the next individual."

"I think it's a virtual certainty, sadly."

"Sad it is," she agreed with a nod as she bent to start clearing away some of the debris left at the tombs. "If you do find him, leave a piece of him for me."
