"Happy thoughts," she winked at Teddy, gesturing to the door with a nod of her head. "You ready?"

She felt her stomach wanting to cramp up as the knock came on the door.
"no" she smiled, placing the costume aside and pulling away from the Rose. "But I have to"
The blond slipped off the bed and walked to the door, opening it and holding it open.
"Hey, come in"

He nodded, "Thank you."

He seemed much more cordial without all of his gear.

Once he was inside the tiny apartment, because it really was tiny, she close the door behind him. The two ferrets stopped messing around and looked up at the newcomer as if assessing whether or not he was interesting or not, though Diego stayed with Cassiel, the stuffed toy turning his head toward Chase though, blinking once with button eyes.

"Can I get you anything?" the blond asked softly. "I got several teas and types of coffee?"

Cass gave a simple nod in greeting to Chase. She was just moral support.

For a moment, it seemed he'd decline the offer before he said, "Coffee would be good, thanks."

"Anything in particular you want? Or do you take it black?" the gently smiling blond said as she moved around the corner to the tiny kitchen to snatch the coffee pods off the top shelf, which meant she had to stand on her toes to nudge them off the shelf with the tip of her fingers.

"I take my coffee black, thank you."

Well, black was simple enough and it didn't take long before the rich scent of newly brewed coffee started filling the apartment.
The blond didn't say much, but he might be able to pick up on the slightly nervous vine that lingered in the background.

He took a seat, specifically, he took a seat with his back to the wall where he could see all possible exits and entrances in the room.

"You seem nervous, Teddy."

It really was a small place, the only entrances and exits being two windows and the door he'd come in through. The only other door in the apartment leading to the bathroom.
"Sorry..." she smiled gently, pouring the coffee once done and handing him the cup. "I..." okay, deep breath as she looked up at him. "I have to say no, Sir... I can't lie to Medwyn..." she simply couldn't, the very thought tore at her heart. "And it scares me... that you're going to take the memories away. No one's been able to get through my thoughts like that before despite trying and I... I worry about how it will feel. Or what you'll do if you can't..."

He turned and looked to Cass, "Do you trust her with this secret?"

Cass turned from looking out of the window, her arms still crossed as she had a thoughtful look. "Teddy's extremely trustworthy. I trust her, yes, I do. She's never, ever broken the trust she and I have had."

There was gratitude in the Caitiff's eyes as Cassiel spoke, the Rose's words meaning more to her than Teddy would be able to ever tell her.

Chase nodded, though he appeared thoughtful for a moment.

"Are you willing to keep this secret, and one other, from the rest of the world. Even from Medwyn?"

The blond was hesitant, he could see it in her body language as much as her eyes, that silent little fear of what might happen if Medwyn found out, it was tearing at her heart.
"I..." she closed her eyes for a moment. "I wouldn't tell anyone something that was entrusted to me" which was the truth. "I just don't want him to look at me as if a liar if he found out somehow..." she swallowed, chewing on her lip for a moment.
" I don't want to be a liability to you... I..." okay, deep breath. "you should probably take my memories..." Teddy smiled at him, even if it was a slightly nervous smile. "So I won't have to lie, so you won't have to worry..."
The Brujah to which she'd given her heart and soul meant too much to her. And she didn't want to have chase worrying that she might slip. It... it was better this way, right?

"Very well," he nodded, "Know that I do not take pleasure in having to do this, Teddy."

His face grew stern, "Look directly into my eyes and listen very carefully."

Cass simply turned back to the window, not exactly pleased that this was happening, but it was Teddy's choice and she'd be damned if she were to try and take that choice away from her.

"I'm sorry for disappointing you..." the blond said quietly as she lifted her eyes to meet his gaze. "Forgive me..." she hated being a disappointment to people.

He shook his head, "You haven't disappointed me."

And then his will reached in and grabbed her own [b]"You will not remember the names of the Grellon's members. Indeed, you will not remember anything about the group known as the Grellon. You will not remember that Cassiel is a member, nor will you remember that you have met King Raven or who he truly is."

"Instead, you will remember that you had a conversation with an independent Gangrel who was simply passing through. You will remember that he asked you what you stood for and that you should be willing to stand up for what you believe in. You will not remember my presence here this night either. Instead, you will recall only that you asked Cassiel here for support because of the heart ache you feel being away from Medwyn."

The longer he continued to work, the more detail Chase went into as he sought to completely removed the knowledge of the Grellon from Teddy's mind. He described the Gangrel, right down to the color and texture of his shoe laces which he described as dark in color and threadbare from years of use. He described the alternate locations, instead of Ravenwood, Teddy and the Gangrel had gone to a park and talked on a bench beneath the boughs of a weeping willow that seemed to enshroud them. They'd met on the rooftop when he'd landed, as a raven, seeing her deep in thought.

She held eye contact, listening without even blinking as he spoke and remaining quiet for a few moments after he'd finished speaking.

And when she did speak? It was with a whisper.
"I'm sorry..." oh God, he had to believe her. "I won't say anything... I won't even tell Medwyn" and just saying those words hurt a bit. But she would promise it anyways, because she didn't have much other choice at the moment. "I swear Chase... and I'm sorry..." the blond said with a soft shiver, as if her body half expected him to snap at her.

Cass pulled away from the window, interjecting herself between Teddy and Chase, as she took Teddy's hands and held them. She would wait for Chase's response, but otherwise, she could tell when her friend had higher than normal levels of anxiety.

He crooked his head to the side, slightly, and produced a small sewing needle.

"I believe you, Teddy. But may I see your finger for just a moment?"

"H-hey..." she had Cassiel standing between them but it still felt wrong trying to hide behind the Rose. "I swore I wouldn't say anything..." the blond repeated, eyeing the needle. What the Hell did he need her blood for? That was what it looked like he was after.

And Cass wasn't letting go of Teddy's hands, not yet. Not if she wasn't willing to comply.
