She laughed out loud, " I stand corrected.....a Rose would have thanked me!"

She looked about again, "So is there anything exciting in this town?"

"Exciting, how so?"

"As in excitement..chaos...a flippin' kitten up a tree?...a Little Jimmy in the well?...anything !"

"What is a little Jimmy, and why would he be in a well?"

"It's a Lassie....ugh, a little boy named Jimmy...who has perhaps fallen down a well. ...much like the kitten up the tree... I just meant an exciting rescue attempt of some sort ." She giggled, "How about gunfights, bootlegging, or cattle rustlin'?"

"None that I am aware of" he laughed

She grins, " Booooring! Can we rustle some cattle?"

"None to rustle that I know of. I'll tell you a couple of my wild stories when we get back into the truck though"

"Ooo! splendid! Will there be blood?" yep...she's serious.

"Yup" he chuckled

"Yay! " She begins to sing and dance around him.....

He laughed at her antics. "You are a precocious one aren't you?"

She comes along side him, "Am I? " She seemed to think about it for a minute before speaking again. Her brows knitted together and her lips pursed ...her eyes shifted as they chased memories in her head. " I don't believe I've ever been called that. " Then her face split in a grin. "Perhaps you're a bad influence on me, Mr. Grant. "

"I often have that effect on people" he smirked

" I see. " she said, looking at him a bit dubiously. "So when they come for me with the stake I shall cry out Nay! Nay! Twas not me! That rogue...that rake ..that wily Anarch hath led me astray!"

"Something like that" he snorted

"So " she said, " Tell me about yourself and how you came to be here.....and now?"

Quiet is not her friend. Quiet lets her mind wander. Lately it's too chatty.....it has ideas of it's own. Ideas Mr.Grant would not care for.

"Well" he said low enough so that the odd chance someone walking by couldn't hear "I was born in 1870... you know, let's go back to the truck so I can feel more comfortable with this."

She giggled, " We don't have to. I know you want to look around....just speak in third person...Like....*Ahem*.... Born in 1870 , John grew into a strapping young lad in the town of ...blah blah........"

Precocious indeed.

"Olympia, Washington" he chuckled "Later he was involved in shipping and lumber mills, as well as dry goods wholesaling, until a bad man made him into something else, and he later rebelled against him, destroying much of his fortunes and running across the country to Florida, where John wound up getting buried and only recently was unearthed."

He still kept his voice rather low though, just in case.

"Buried?...what the fuck? How? ...why?" she had an odd smile on her face...like she found the idea somehow ...useful.

"Stick in the usual place. Finally rotted out"

" Was this a punishment?" she asked seriously

"Revenge "

" Oh, Johnny must have been a bad boy indeed!" She grinned. Revenge...now that was a concept near and dear to her ...well....lack of heart.
