Johnathon rolled his sleeper cab equipped semi truck into the little town of Homestead and pulled into a handy parking lot. With the engine still idling, the oddly modern dressed Ventrue looked around at the area and examined what he could see.

She looked around too. "So...what the fuck are we doing here?"

"I'm going to tie you up and rape you in the back of the truck before dumping your corpse in the swamps" he said dryly

"We're looking around for trouble, or hopefully for the lack thereof."

She grinned over across the seat at him, "So this is a date? Ubee will be expecting me dumped by eleven."

He chuckled at that. "Such a punctual alligator. How did you come to name him Ubee, does it signify something?"

She shook her head, "Not really, it's short for U-boat. A friend came up with the idea...and fortunately he's grown into his name. Another year and he'll be the size of a sub."

"U boat? Oh... the German submarines of the world wars? I was in torpor for those you know"

She smiled, " Yet you know of them, so my assumption was right." She switched gears...quick. "So...where can I get a good knife?"

"I read books, and how good of a knife and how quickly?"

"Of course!, after years of torpor one must re-educate themselves with the new world. I assumed, from what I know of you, that you are intelligent and well read.....Both before and after torpor, " she added.

She chuckled, "As for the knife, something biggish....and shiny...and sharp...and well, made in a sturdy sort of way... "she thought about it for a moment more. " Or perhaps you know of a craftsman who makes such weapons? Someone who I could, perhaps, tell my ideas and have them bring them to life?"

"The Cam Harpy is a master smith, and has made me some beautiful work. In fact, I own the two finest pieces she has ever created. However, in the interim, you may have one of my bowie knives

That's very sweet of you Mr.Grant...however, that it may be best if I obtain a one more suited to delicate work.

She stifled an odd giggle, " Something like a very large....fillet knife. Only more ..... shiny and attractive. "

"Perhaps it is best if I do not know..." he said after a moment. "A sporting goods store would be your best choice for such a blade"

She smiled and nodded, she didn't really want the Harpy to know about her...extra curricular activities anyway.

"So, are their any particular activities for today...or just being seen?" she asks innocently.

"Well, I thought to take a bit of a walk, see the area a bit more. Was thinking about making this the capitol of the southern claim so to speak. I'm trying to sell Key West to a couple of folks, no takers yet. Scary buying property from an Anarch you know"

She smiled " Wonderful....I could fancy a walk."

He slipped out of the truck and waited for Mercy to join him before locking it. "Well my dear, shall we see what the night offers?"

She stood beside him and grinned, "Let's!"

As they began walking she looked over at him. "You know," she said thoughtfully, "I always feel a bit under dressed with you. You are quite.....what's the word they used to use.....dashing? Yes! You are always quite dashing."

He looked down at his jeans and polo shirt and chuckled "Maybe not tonight, but thank you. It is a style I can't quite shake. A common thing in my family."

She chuckled, "Yes, but your polo is still much better than my tank and shorts."She arches an eyebrow conspiratorially and grins, " I think you have spies.....fashion spies. Reporting what we all wear so you can be best dressed of the bunch." She bumps his shoulder...."Fashion spies."

"No, I'm simply that... what is the word? Awesome. Yes I am that awesome"

She snickers, " Oooo! It's a wonder you can find a hat to fit that head! Wait....I forgot ...you can't hear me over the sound of how awesome you are."

"Eh? Huh? I hear a voice? Somewhere? Maybe it's just my awesome telling me how awesome I am" he smirked

She looks about in mock nonchalance. "Someone sounds like a Rose." she teased.
