No Miss Sheriff, We've Been Good, We Swear... - Emily's Home

Emily had arrived, milk in hand and tossed it in the refrigerator then franctically ran around trying to straighten things up. A few of Sarah's toys were out on the floor.

Sarah herself, sensing something was up stared for a bit then said, "What's going on?"

"Company honey," Emily replied. "You're going to have to play in your room for a bit. You'll get to meet our guest later I'm sure, if you're patient, k?" Emily took the girl by the hand and lead her into her room with coloring book in tow. She was quite the little artist.

"Michelle, she's coming. I've got everything set up."

Michelle seemed rather relaxed about the whole thing. SHe stole a hug and a kiss from Sarah, before she was ushered into her room.

She was currently wearing a pair of denim bluejean shorts, with a zip up hoodie, hair pulled back into a pony tail, and glasses on. She looked up from the laptop, as she sat curled up in her usual chair. "Calm down, love. If what you said was true, then its just a chat."

Ten minutes after she hung up the phone, she was knocking on the door.

Emily nodded to Michelle, but her hands were still shaking as they did when she was nervous.

She went over and answered the door, her little face peeking out from behind the hotel door to greet Griselda.

"Hi again..." Emily was worried this would go bad and it'd be her fault again. "Come on in." She opened the door fully, inviting Griselda inside.

Michelle simply set the laptop, screen still up, on the table next to herself. Her hands folded in her lap, and she waited patiently. A small smile on her face, as she looked towards the front door for the arrival of the Sheriff.

She seemed relaxed as well, her brow arched as she strolled inside.

"Hey again, Ems."

She gave the other redhead a hug, and seemed fairly friendly. And waited to be shown where Michelle might be. She'd only met the woman once before.

Emily took the hug with relief. The comfort was much needed. She lead Griselda into the living room where Michelle was.

"Make yourself at home Griselda, you need anything?"

"Good evening," she said cooly, with a soft smile. Her dark eyes rested fully upon the woman, from behind glasses. Gaze shifted to Emily. "You want to make sure Sarah's cartoons are a decent volume, or would you like me to, while you get whatever for our guest?"

She was already moving to stand, likely to do just that, anyways.

"Uh sure." Emily said akwardly.

Sarah was watching Blue's Clues in the other room, but was very distracted by whoever might be out there in the living room. In fact, Sarah ran away from the door when it was opened and plopped next to her coloring book like she'd never left at all.

She didn't say anything but sat there looking guilty and giggling because she knew she'd been caught.

She smiled at Emily and shook her head.

"No, but thank you."

She nodded to Michelle when she rose, waving a hand for her to have a seat.

"Please, no need to get up on my account. You wanted to see me?" she asked of the Lasombra.

Michelle did not sit. She aimed for the bedroom, and rested her hand upon the door handle.

MIchelle grinned as she opened the door rather suddenly. "Uh huh... coloring, huh? A likely story, missy." a grin slipped across her lips. "Come.. you are curious, so come out and meet our guest.. say hello, then back to your room. Okay?"

She held out her hand, towards the open doorway, skin warming up a bit as she did such.

Sarah could hardly contain herself and she bounced up from her coloring book and ran over to the door, then she was suddenly struck by shyness as she poked her head in to the living room.

She giggled, then hid her face in Michelle's leg.

"Hi." She said to Griselda stil firmly attached to Michelle.

She grinned, raising a hand and wiggling her fingers at the child.

"Hi there!" she said, cheerfully.

Michelle simply kept her smile, looking down, running fingers softly through the small girl's hair. "Good, now? Anything else, before you go back to your room for a little bit?"

Another fit of giggles and the little girl ran behind Michelle, then peeked through the woman's legs at Griselda with a big smile on her face.

"Ok, honey, you behave in there while we talk, ok? You can say bye-bye to Griselda when she leaves." Emily said with absolute adoration on her face for the little girl.

Sarah, shook her head to Michelle, then ran back in her room. "I color Dora!" She declared then made a show of coloring while still stealing looks out the door.

"Yeah?" SHe looked it over. "Not bad, kiddo! Color me a Boots?" she exclaimed with a grin, ushering the girl back into her room. She took a moment to put the TV at a louder level, but nothing too much. Just enough to drawn out the sounds of a conversation through a closed door. She leaned down and gave the girl a hug and kiss, before slippnig out of the room. "Be good, and I will have a surprise for you later." Michelle was always good with the bribing of surprises. Girls were ment to be spoiled, afterall.

She softly shut the bedroom door behind herself. Smoothly moving back to her seat, curling legs under herself within it, once again.

Eyes fell upon the sheriff. "I believe it was you, who wanted to see me. Granted, probably not as soon as this, but I do hate putting off the inevitable, if it can be helped. No point beating around the bush, afterall."

She laughed quietly, shaking her head.

"She's adorable."

"She is." Michelle smiled brightly, nodding in agreeance. "Emily and myself found her. Sad story, Sarah's tale, but in the end.. it's how Emily and I found each other, and we all live pretty happily here."

"Thank you. Yes, she's absolutely precious." Emily said, happy to share Sarah with Griselda.

She thoguth Sarah was supposed to be kept a secret; she also didn't expect to be inviting Griselda straight to their home. She wondered what Michelle was up to. Or maybe this was just the way things were. She was way over her head.

Her brows rose again.

"You wanted to talk to me?" she repeated, still pleasant, though.

"I believe it was you, who wanted to see me. Granted, probably not as soon as this, but I do hate putting off the inevitable, if it can be helped. No point beating around the bush, afterall." She repeated, still pleasant, though.

"Oh, but I would have chosen a place just a little more private for the discussion," she answered coolly. "Some things, it is better to not say in the current company."

She may have meant Emily, may have meant Sarah, but she meant one or the other.. or both.

"Sarah is occupied and out of the way, and as far as Emily goes... we keep no secrets from each other." she shrugged. "Emily felt the need to expose herself to you, and you to her, so might as well skip to the chase, and let you have a look around. No point trying to keep things hidden, if she thinks you are trustworthy enough to discuss things she was told to not." She shrugs, again.

She smiled, still pleasant, but shook her head.

"There's a time and place for every conversation, Miss Angelica. And this is neither the time nor the place for this one."

She glanced over at Emily and gave her another reassuring smile.

"I have no interest in searching through your things or where you've chosen to make a home for yourself. I'm not really that kind of Sheriff."

"I...I can go. I can take Sarah and leave if you want." Emily said absolutely miserable that she caused this.
