Toreador Freak Out (Open) - Sunflower Beach

Wasn't much she could do unfortunately.. and she knew it.

"Thanks.." she smiled, not really sure what else to say. "Tell the girls hi?"

He nodded as he started to carry Cassiel out the door.

"I will. Thank ye again."

She would keep the door open for them, following them both with her eyes and turning so she could rest her shoulder against the door and watch them move towards his car.
A part of her felt like she just failed completely as a friend, the other realized it was probably best that he'd come and gotten her.

Teddy moved a hand to rub her shoulder as she bit her lip.

He was there before she realized it. His hand was on her shoulder, watching Jamie carry the Toreador to his SUV. "What's wrong, love? You did what you could."

The blond's eyes closed at his touch, leaning gently back against him with a slightly melancholic smile.
"I wish I could do more... Wish I could actually do something for her" she said softly.

He wrapped his arms around her waist, kissing the top of her head. "I think you do more than you realize."

She drew her breath, moving a hand to rest on his while lifting the other to brush her fingers against his shoulder.
"Carry me upstairs?" it was a softly smiling question. "Let me hold you through the day..." at least she could do that.

He smiled as he bent slightly at the knee. She could feel his arm sliding behind her knees, and in the next moment, she had been swept up and into his arms. "Anything for you, love. Anything."

The blond moved her arms around him, touching her lips to his neck before resting her head on his shoulder with a smile as one hand was allowed to gently brush its fingers up and down the side of his neck.
"Thank you"

With one hand, he locked the door behind Jamie and Cassiel. Then he started to carry her upstairs, with slow, measured steps. "Not a problem, love. I would do much worse for you than carry you up the stairs."

"I prefer this..." she whispered, still gently trailing her fingers up and down the side of his neck. "I prefer you needn't do anything worse than carry me to bed" Teddy smiled.

He turned his head to smile at her, even brushing a kiss over her forehead. "As long as it makes you feel just a bit better, love, I'm more than happy to do so."

"You always make me feel better" Teddy smiled as she drew her breath, taking his his scent before nuzzling into the corner of his neck again. "Curling up next to you always make me feel better"

He smiled as he carried her into the bedroom. With gentle arms, he was laying her on the bed, sliding in beside of her. "I think you sell yourself short fairly often, love."

"You think so..?" it was a low murmur really as she was already cuddling up close to him so she could feel him softly pressed against her. "Does it really matter?"

"Yes," he answered, wrapping his arms around her so that he could pull her close. "It matters quite a lot. You need to be more confident."

"I am" the blond chuckled softly before letting out a low sigh of happiness when she felt his arms around her. "I know what I can do and what I can't though. Doesn't mean I'm not confident. Just means I know my limits"

He smiled. "Yes, but you keep wishing that you could do more. Without realizing what you already do."

"I will always want to do more..." she said softly. "It's just who I am..." the blond whispered, draping a leg over his body.

He ran a hand over her thigh and tugged her closer. "Yes, but you seem to get disappointed in yourself when there's nothing you can do."

Teddy drew her breath with a low sound as he tugged her closer, happy to be in his arms and share int he closeness of his embrace.
"Yes... but I'll always be that way. I'll always want to be able to do more even when I can't"

He frowned, but he nodded. Wrapping his arms around her, he settled her more firmly against him. "I can understand that. And it's all well and good, but if you forget what it is that you are able to do, it becomes a problem."

"You'll just have to remind me of what I'm good at then" Teddy chuckled softly as she opened her eyes and lifted her head to look at him.

He couldn't help but smile. She always made him smile. He leaned close to give her another soft, gentle kiss. "You are good at so many things, love."

She sighed against his lips with a smile, brushing her fingers up the side of his neck and to his cheek.
"Thank you..." she smiled, as he was just as good at making her smile no matter what. "That's nice of you..."
