"For example," he continued with a smile. "You are good at swimming. You are good at making me smile..."

"I like making you smile"
Teddy looked up at him, letting her fingers move softly across his cheek.

He grinned at her. "You do it well."

Teddy snuggled up against him again, the leg draped over his body pulling him close as if somehow she might be able to get closer than she already was.
"I aim to please" she smiled.

He laughed as she used his own comment back on him. "You're also a fantastic toy maker."

God she loved it when he laughed.
"I love my job" Teddy smiled happily. "And it helps me make others smile too"

He grinned. "See? You found yet another thing that you're good at. Making other people happy."

"I try at least" the softly smiling blond said as he fingers traced down the side of his neck before her hand came to rest on his chest.

He brushed his fingers through her hair, careful not to tangle them. "I know you do. And you succeed."

"You're sweet..." she smiled, eyes closed with a content sigh. "Thanks.... for being there for me. And for Cassie... it means a lot to me"

His brow rose. "I don't know that I would say I was there for Cassiel. I... didn't really do anything."

"It helped to have you there.... with both of us. She worries I think, that you might not like her because of what happened. I told her she was being silly, that she should talk to you. But with all that's happened I don't think she's been in the right state of mind to do so. That you sat down with us? I think it might've helped her relax a bit more" she said softly.

He blinked, looking surprised. "Might not like her for what? What happened?" Clearly, he had already forgotten.

"Heh, that's kinda my point" she arched her back, pressing her body lazily against his with a sigh. "She's lingering on the past..."

He blinked again, confused. "Oh! You mean the thing with Alex?"

Teddy just gave a light nod of her head.

He shook his head. "Think I should have a talk with her about it? Since I didn't even know what you were talking about there for a bit."

"I think she needs to talk to you about it in her own time. When she's feeling a bit more grounded again" the blond said softly, tracing her fingers slowly up and down the side of his neck before brushing them across his chest. "Right now it's a bit too much"

He nodded. "I understand. I'll wait until she comes to me, then."

Her hand found his cheek again, warm and soft to the touch as she lifted her head to touch her lips to his chin in a kiss.
"I'm lucky to have such an understanding lover.." Teddy smiled.

He laughed as he kissed her gently. "Yes, you are."

She chuckled before brushing her lips to his again with a smile. One hand reaching up to brush a stray strand of hair away before letting her fingers trace down his cheek. Her blue eyes locked with his, she didn't really have anything to say that the look on her face wasn't telling him already.
She truly was happy to have him, and so, so lucky...

He leaned in close to brush his lips over hers, his hand gentle against the blonde curls that fell across the pillow. "You're my everything, Teddy."

The smile across her lips as she brushed her thumb slowly across his lips was one of love, of warmth.
"As you are to me..." she whispered.

He smiled as he watched her, then closed his eyes with a contented sigh. "I'm sure everything with Cassiel will work itself out."
