Toreador Freak Out (Open) - Sunflower Beach

It was unlikely Cass would say anything or budge at all. She just curled up for now, hiding her face away. Not so much the social creature at all this evening.

Didn't matter if she was social or not, the Caitiff's arms stayed around her in that same comforting embrace as before as Teddy held her close while leaning against Medwyn. And chances were, they were likely to stay like that until Medwyn said he needed to call Jamie.
Though it was something wasn't it? Just that little comfort of being held, of someone wanting to protect her. And the Caitiff wanted very much to protect her friend if she could.

He was more than happy to hold them both. At least, until about half an hour before dawn, when he would call Jamie to pick up Cassiel. God knew that Cass shouldn't have to deal with his nightmares, on top of her own.

Teddy understood, she did deep down even if she wished she could somehow be there for both of them when they needed it.

She cuddled Cassiel again and kissed her cheek before resting her forehead against hers. One hand brushing the tears from her friend's cheeks.
"Let Diego take care of you, alright? He's really good at that" Teddy whispered with a gentle smile.

Cass gave a slow nod and just squeezed Teddy a little tighter. At least until Jamie got there and pried her away.

It was okay, it wasn't as if she was going to let go of her until there was a knock on the door.

Hope Jamie brings the jaws of life.

Five minutes after Medwyn called, there was, indeed, a knock at the door.

"Door's open" she called out, not really feeling like letting go of Cassiel or moving away from Medwyn.

He stepped inside, looking around for Cassiel.

"Good evening."

The Rose was curled up under a blanket on the sofa in Teddy's arms, the Caitiff and the Rose still resting against Medwyn as Teddy looked up and offered the Prince a soft smile.
"Hey.... she's a bit tired..." you know, from the crying and panicking.

She'd wave... Or something. But... Well, no. She was too busy with her face being buried against Teddy.

He smiled at Teddy, walking over so that he could crouch down in front of the Toreador.

"Aye, I can see that. I'll carry her, then. Cassiel, love, are ye all right otherwise?"

She nodded her head slowly. Sort of. It was kind of a half nod, half shake of her head like she wasn't quite sure the right answer.

He held out his arms, sliding one beneath Cassiel's knees and the other behind her back. He lifted her in a cradle, pulling her tight against his chest.

"Shh, it'll be all right, lass."

First when Jamie had picked her up did Teddy move, almost a bit reluctantly as she pulled away from Medwyn and stood up, picking up the bag with the salt canisters and Diego peeking out over the top of it.
"I'm sorry Cassie... Diego will stay with you at least" for what that was worth.

Cass gave a little nod to Teddy before she turned herself inward to Jamie, basically using him to bury her face away now, just as she had buried herself against the caitiff.

He smiled as he held out a hand for the bag as well.

"I'll take tha' for her."

Teddy handed over the bag with a smile at him.
"Here" she paused and bit her lip for a moment, rubbing her arm. "Take alright?"

He nodded.

"She'll be right as rain soon."

Maybe, though she doubted it would be soon.
"Here, let me get the door for you" she smiled gently, moving to push the door open and keeping it open by leaning her back against it.
"Call us tomorrow?" it might've been directed at Cass, it might've been to Jamie, in the end, it was probably meant for both of them.

He nodded.

"I'll have her call ye. Thank ye for takin' such good care of her."

Cass sighed a little, but that was it.

"She's my best friend..." the Caitiff smiled as she reached out to gently brush her fingers through Cassiel's hair as Jamie moved past her.

He smiled at the blonde.

"Aye. But that doesna necessarily mean ye would help her. Ye should know tha' I appreciate wha' ye do."
