Toreador Freak Out (Open) - Sunflower Beach

He came inside, closing and locking the door behind him. For the moment, he didn't seem to notice that Teddy wasn't alone. "Teddy? I'm home..."

"In the living room, love" the Caitiff, still holding the Toreador and gently petting her hair, said from the sofa. "We have visitors"

Cass didn't say anything. Sge just sort of laid on Teddy, eyes glazed over in silent thought.

He seemed surprised. "Visitors?" he asked curiously, stepping into the room. He gave the Toreador a nod of his head. "Good evening, Miss Vella," he said in his native German.

She didn't really... Respond...

"She's not feeling so well..." the Caitiff said softly as she turned her bright blue eyes to him with a slightly worried smile. Her tank top ruined by the tears her friend had shed, though Teddy's arms remained around her in a comforting embrace there she lay curled up on the sofa.
"Is it okay if she stays in the guest room..? I don't really wanna call anyone right now..."

He looked between the two, but it was Teddy he addressed. "Depends, really. Tell me what happened, and I'll see if I should maybe call Jamie or not."

"She's scared and she's tired..." the blond sighed softly, biting her lip for a moment. "She's upset because of her dreams" Teddy leaned down to kiss the top of her friend's head before looking to Medwyn again.
"She just needs to rest... just for tonight. Please..? " she asked gently.

Cass curled up in an even tighter little ball.

"Please, love..?" the Caitiff asked softly again. "She needs to be with friends right now..."

Level-headed as he usually was, he just gave her a blue-eyed stare. "Considering the other sleeping difficulties that happen in this house, do you truly believe that it would be better for her to stay here with us or with Jamie, who not only has experience with such things but has managed to fight off the demons that haunt more than one person?"

The blond almost looked a little hurt before pulling Cassiel closer and burying her face in her friend's hair.
"I love you Cassie, you know that right...?" she said softly before drawing her breath and looking over at Medwyn again, speaking in a low whisper that sounded a little defeated. "Then at least wait a little before calling..."
She knew he was being logical. But it didn't help, not at the moment anyways when all her friend seemed to want to do was hide away.

He saw the hurt in her face, but he knew that what he was doing and suggesting was better for both Cassiel and for Teddy. That made it better. He moved to stand near Teddy, reaching out to put one hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry, love. I truly am. But you know that the last thing she needs is to see and hear that. You know that. But she can stay as long as she wants. I can wait quite a while before calling Jamie."

Cass did appreciate Medwyn's logic. She did. And she even managed a small nod of her head to Teddy, which her friend probably felt more than saw. But she still buried her face deeper into Teddy's shoulder, holding to her tightly for now. A little embarrassed, still worried.

She nodded slowly, leaning gently into that touch and tilting her head to the side for a moment just so she could brush her cheek against his hand.
"I know..." God she hated those nightmares, hated what they did to him. But she understood. She just didn't have to like it.

The blond bit her lip again, gently running a soft hand through Cassiel's hair in a comforting manner.
"Hey... would you like Diego to stay with you for a little while?" heh, Teddy hadn't been without that bear since well... that night... "I think he'd like that. And he's really good for keeping you company when you're feeling down. Nothing's as soothing as having a teddy bear in your arms when you fall asleep" she smiled gently.

Cass gave another nod and little noise that sort of sounded like a 'yeah'.

"Good.." the blond managed with a soft chuckle. "Because I think he's already decided he's going. He crawled into your bag fifteen minutes ago..." and yes, there was a Diego in her bag, peeking over the top of it even as she spoke.

The Rose's eyes peeked out from Teddy's shoulder for a moment, a bloody mess, as she looked over at her bag, giving Diego a little grateful nod.

The teddy bear lifted a paw to wave, the result being that he lost balance and flailed as he fell backwards into the bag again.

Usually that would be enough to get her to laugh, but not right now. Not even the hint of a smile. Her head was buried back in Teddy's shoulder.

Which was fine really, as Teddy would hold her for as long as she needed, or at the very least until Jamie came over to pick her up. It was all she had to offer, but at least a friendly embrace was better than nothing right? The blond gently brushing her fingers through her friend's hair with a reassuring touch that was meant to comfort as she held her close with protective arms that pulled the blanket a little closer around them.

"Sit with us?" she looked up at Medwyn with a gentle smile, because more than anything she knew the Rose needed reassurance. Reassurance that she wasn't alone.

He slipped onto the sofa next to Teddy, though when he held out his arms? It was for both of the women.

"Of course. Come here."

In order for Teddy to move, Cass was going to have to move. So she did, just long enough for Teddy to get comfortable and sort of squeeze herself into Medwyn. Kind of like a kid. Which is how she felt at the moment anyway.

Given enough room to move, Teddy more or less moved herself into Medwyn's lap, pulling Cassie with her so she could still lean against her if she wanted to, so she could rest in the Caitiff's arms and lean against Medwyn at the same time. Her arms around her friend while the blond rested her head on Medwyn's shoulder, easing her fingers gently through the brunette locks of the Rose.
Just peace and quiet. Comfort and safety... A moment to breather sort of speak, as Teddy whispered a soft "Thank you..." under her breath to her lover.

Thankfully, his arms were long enough to be able to reach around both women. He gathered them up against him, turning his head so he could kiss Teddy's cheek. "No need to thank me."
