Actually, that wasn't all that bad because despite the blushing? She still looked up at Cass and smiled. Actually truly smiled.
"Heh, nothing to say sorry for. We could've just, you know, thought things through before acting. I don't honestly care what anyone thinks of me you know? Only reason it bothered me? Was because I thought I'd loose him when I found out it had been taped..." she said softly. "Medwyn was the one who went to Bella to ask her to report it. So that the tape couldn't be used to blackmail the Prince or me. As if I'd have anything worth holding over my head" the blond chuckled and then shrugged her shoulders lightly again.
"He worried so much, Cassiel. Worried that it would reflect badly on me because I was with him. Because I was with a Ghoul. He's so damn silly sometimes... But that whole blunder with the elevator? It's what made this happen" the Caitiff smiled softly as she held her arms out for a moment. "In the end it gave me him... So, so what if the Domain thinks I'm some kind of nympho exhibitionist? I still got him"

She crossed her arms but her smile was still present. Why? Because Teddy had a good point. Then again, Teddy always had a good point, so she wasn't surprised in the least.

"Jamie doesn't think you are a nympho exhibitionist. Neither do I. And honestly? No one disrespected either of you at Estaban's shindig that I saw, no whispers behind the back. Maybe the incident in the elevator hasn't been forgotten, but no one is looking at either of you any differently. I think that's a good sign. And you're right, you and Medwyn get to be together now. Good things have a habit of coming out of awkward situations."

She wrapped her arm around Teddy's shoulder, giving a light squeeze. "You know I'm completely over the moon for you both, right?"

"No, Jamies doesn't think me a nympho exhibitionist. He does however seem to have made catching me off guard a hobby of his" seriously, evil Prince. You know, in the best possible way. "And thank you Cassie... That means a lot"
She slipped an arm around Cassiel's shoulder in return. "He means the world to me"

And to think, as long as they'd known each other? Teddy hadn't been in a single relationship. Heck, the vampire could still count the men she'd shared a bed with on one hand. And of those? Of those only two had mattered to her. Only Medwyn and.. well.. the other was a long time ago. And even if she'd loved him too, it wasn't like this. It wasn't like having found a missing piece of herself. Because that's what Medwyn was. He was the other half of her soul as far as the Caitiff was concerned. And he truly did mean the world to her.

"Well... Jamie likes that game. He likes to catch me off my guard, too. Eventually, though? We'll get him back-- you and me. And we'll all have a good laugh about it," she chuckled.

"So I have to ask... New Year's... Shauna did interrupt you guys, didn't she?" See? Not completely clueless once two and two were put together.

"She threw shaved ice at Medwyn actually" she laughed. "Sheesh, what's up with that girl, honestly? Is she just.. just a little special?" the blond smirked as she tilted her head to the side and watched Cassiel with those bright blue eyes of hers. "You needn't worry though you know? We were at the Regency and if it hadn't been Shauna it might've been someone else. Besides, I had a good New Years eve. I got time with him. I'm just sorry you didn't get time with Alex" the Caitiff said softly, reaching out and tapping a finger on the Rose's nose.

Cass gave a small shrug of her shoulders. "I haven't a clue what the hell is up with her, to be honest. Besides the fact that she must think I'm the devil incarnate. I... I still need to talk to Jamie about that. What she did, though," besides embarrass the shit out Cass in front of half the domain at that stupid party? Fucking Ventrue.

"Blue Blood busy body with too much free time on her hands and a God damn badge that says she's in charge, mother fucking off the wall, no brain, talking shit to Jamie," yep, she rambled. And rambled some more. Yeah, Shauna had embarrassed her, but really? She, in Cass' opinion, insulted Daddy.

Yeah, so she saw Jamie as her father figure. You all saw it coming.

"Grr..." She sighed. "I tried to go see Alex. I did. But... I didn't want to her to know, I didn't want her to find out where Jamie and his family lived. I just... didn't want to be around her, especially while she treated me as a 5 year old with a case of the can't be trusted."

Wasn't often the blond saw her friend venting, but she had been waiting for it to happen because with all that had gone down lately? Well, Teddy was only surprised it hadn't happened before.

"The big question is what makes her think she has the right to treat you as if you were a kid. I mean, you're at least a recognized and Acknowledged member of the Camarilla. Jamie hasn't told anyone to babysit you have he? So why should she even try to?" because while she was used to getting pushed around herself that was different. She was a Caitiff, she generally had "kick me" written across her back. But Cassiel belonged to a family and even if she didn't hold much Status she had least held enough to be treated as the adult she was.

"Can't you tell her to just get lost though?" though really, it wasn't that simple was it?

"Jamie never asked another person to babysit me outside of Medwyn when Jamie wasn't around. Not once. When Jamie let me out of the house or the office to do things? He was letting me do them on my own, knowing I would be back when I was supposed to be, calling to check in and not out getting myself into trouble. I always did what I was supposed to," and that much was true, all very true.

"She decided to make it her business, and I don't understand why. I didn't care that Jamie had.. has?... some ground rules. I didn't, because he at least cared...er, cares. He wasn't doing what he did to exercise some kind of control over me. He did it because he loves me, because family... family watches out for one another. Shauna? She did it because she could. To prove, I guess that she was... is?... better than me, that she had some authority."

Cass shook her head, she was still angry with the whole situation. Well, maybe disappointed and a little hurt were better terms.

"I didn't... don't... have the status to tell her to get lost or to mind her own business. That would have been a trip to the principal's office that no one needed. It was just... better to go along with it and not cause a fuss when there was... is?..." Her brain was starting to fail her. "Is so much going on, you know? No one needed anything added to the pile."

"First of all" the Caitiff said softly. "Deep breath, because even though you don't actually need to breathe anymore I'm pretty sure you're close to hyperventilating. A secondly, speak with Jamie about this. If the Status system says you can't tell her off for being a nosy bitch, then tell Jamie what she's doing to you. I'm pretty damn sure he's not interested in having anyone treat his family poorly, and you" she reached out to brush her hand down her arm. "are family. You're part of Jamie's family and our family. And I'm pretty sure the Prince outranks some Blue Blood with a control complex"

"I also think you need to sit down and relax a bit before you fall apart because it sounds like you got a lot of frustration wanting to come out all at once and it's scrambling your brain"
Her hand drifted down to the Rose's wrist and gave a friendly little tug.
"Come on. We'll go downstairs, sit down on the couch, have a drink and you can tell me anything and everything you feel like sharing"

Cass did take a deep breath, letting it out slowly. And then took another. She nodded at Teddy's words, she was right, after all. When her friend tugged, she followed. Down the stairs she went, wrapping her scarf once around her neck and letting the ends hang low over her shoulders and chest, playing with the ends of it when she sat up the couch, pulling her legs up under her.

Even there, she took another series of deep breaths. It helped, it did, she just wished she didn't need the help.

"I never got the chance to talk to him," she said softly. It was true, she didn't.

"No, but you got a chance now, right?" came the softly smiling words as the Caitiff disappeared into the kitchen and returned with a couple of filled glasses a few moments later. "I mean, you still see him, you still live there. So take a quiet moment when he's not doing the whole Prince thing hm? He'd probably be happy to sit down and talk with you Cassie" she smiled as she placed the glasses down on the table, nudging one over towards Cass before flopping down onto the couch herself.
"He's a nice guy. He'll listen and he won't judge. And he can probably help you" you know, with hitting people over the head so they'd shut up.

"What if he thinks I'm just... even more messed up?"

"Give him a chance" she answered simply. "The man was willing to give me a chance. I never asked for Medwyn to be Embraced you know? I never asked that he be mine... Jamie asked, because he said Medwyn loved me, because I loved him. So give him a chance to understand. He understands more than you'd think possible"

"I know he does. I just don't see the point. It feels like it happened so long ago. That I should just let it go. Because... it's not important, you know?"

She reached forward and took the glass, bringing it to her lips.

Seemed the Caitiff had dropped by the Setite place again by the taste of it.
"If you want to let go you need to talk about it though. Shuffling it to the back of your mind where it can linger and nag isn't letting go. So give the guy a chance?" Teddy looked at her, pulling a knee close to her body. "Better to talk about something and then try to forget, than to lock it away and then still think about it" not to mention it wouldn't stop the nosy Ventrue from trying to pull another stunt like that again.

"Of course, I'll give him a chance," she seemed to smile. "Took one on me, didn't he?"

She took another sip and then set it aside, looking as if she was remembering the taste of it.

Teddy reached out and lifted a stray lock of hair from Cassiel's face.
"So much better when you're smiling" she said softly. "I need my friend to be happy. Anything I can help with you need only ask, alright?"

"I'm not unhappy," she shook her head softly. Medwyn had said the same thing to her. "I'm just... not myself. I'm trying to be, but everything is so different. I'm still adjusting."

"Which is why you need to tell your friends these things. So we can help you adjust. So we can help you from having a mental melt down because Toreador brains is so difficult to get out of the carpet" Teddy smiled at her and poked her nose again before letting her arm come to rest on the back of the couch, leaning sideways so she could rest her head in her hand.

"I don't think you have to worry about that," she smiled. "The brains got left in the swamp." Really, she was sure they were.

"Ah well, I'm blond, supposedly I don't use mine even if I have one" Teddy grinned and picked up her own glass.

"You? You've got more brains in your pinkie finger than most people do in their bulbous heads," she chuckled.

"Really?"
Said pinkie was wiggled.
"So that's where it is!" no, no she wasn't being silly at all.

She laughed, "I will get you a thimble to use as a helmet to protect it." Cass gave her a wink.

"Now that would actually be kinda awesome" silly Toreador triggering the childish Caitiff who took a sip of her glass and put it back down before holding up both hands and wiggling all ten fingers. "I could draw faces on all of them and have a finger puppet theater!" whatever was in the blood Teddy normally drank? It did nothing to help make her more normal at least.
