That was the thing though, no one ever knew how things would work out, all anyone could do was hope for the best and work for the same. Any relationship required work, required trust, required compromise. The blond might be naive in a lot of ways, but she wasn't that naive.

"A china pattern?" she laughed and shook her head. "Oh God... I've already started filling the living room with pictures I like, and I got the red sofa I saw at the second hand store. And I was the one who wanted the wrought iron bed frame" lalala don't judge.
"If I start dragging china into the house he's totally gonna think me an old woman all of a sudden. And I'm fairly certain he's older than I am"

"Well, if you won't get a china pattern, then at least get some cool guitars and some rock and roll posters... Gee, live a little!" She was teasing, even as she bumped Teddy's shoulder with her own.

No one ever knew how things would work out, true. But it wasn't as if the ride thus far had been anything resembling normal. She couldn't stay with Alex, not really, she hadn't actually been allowed to except for a handful of nights here and there. And... then there was.... well, someone she was pretty sure she'd never see again.

Leave it to the young Toreador to make complicated an art form.

True, the Toreador did know how to make complicated into an art form. Though the Caitiff had, in a matter of two months, fallen in love, watched the man she loved be Embraced so that he could be with her, bought a house and created a home. Taken on his accounting and been accepted into this family despite first having caused Hell because of a Harpy report and a moment of foolishness. And... and it wasn't exactly all too normal that either. At least not that fast. And Medwyn... She hoped she would be enough to make him happy, able to help him and soothe what the Embrace had made worse. Because her worst fear? That was him hating her because of all the things he'd given up when all she had to offer was herself.

"I got a Gustav Klimt poster of the Kiss, does that count?" she laughed. "Or does it have to be of Kiss with platform shoes and clown make-up in order to count?"

"Oh, no, what you have works. Especially if you wind up with some sweet poster size pics of James Dean on his motorcycle next to it. Talk about yummy," she giggled. "Vroom vroom."

So, they were both (hopefully) not doomed, right?

Hope. Capital H Hope. Teddy was a big fan of that and hard work. So no, she didn't think either of them doomed.

"You're so easy to please" she grinned at her.

"Only because I know what I like," she gave a toothy grin. "But if you tell anyone how easy I am, they might take away my Toreador card, so... keep it on the down low?"

She was happy. Very happy. Which was troublesome in it's own way.

"Isn't it kinda mandatory for Toreadors to be ... easy?" duck and cover and giggles.

She glared, but it was mock angry, half-funny one. "Hey, makes it easy to feed." She poked Teddy square in the chest. "Doesn't mean the sex was always that great, trust me."

There was more giggles from the Caitiff who was once again on her back on the ground.
"I never reckoned you easy to get into bed. But you are easy to please if given something that's shiny enough" she winked. "Come to think of it though, it was never difficult to get you into my bed" the blond added with another giggle. Though had been for actual sleeping. Girls got to do that and not have people look weirdly at them afterwards as long as you nodded and confirmed the ideas that all girls of course had a thing for pillow fights in their underwear and innocent lesbian experimentation with their friends. All men wanted to hear that even if they knew they were being lied to. Go figure?

"Funny enough? I haven't got anything shiny... I think I may have to correct this before someone else does," she smiled. "But, you're right. I love getting into bed with you. at least you cuddle after," she giggled.

"Yush I do!" the blond grinned from ear to ear. "I love cuddles" she really did. "And if Alex agrees, you're at least getting shinies from me and Medwyn for your wedding gift"

"If he doesn't agree? Then I will use the pout," yes, yes she would. And she was certain it would work on him. Call it a hunch.

That earned her two actual thumbs up.
"Awesome" she smiled up at Cassiel before letting her arms fall back onto the ground above her head. "Because I'd really be honoured if you let me, you know"

"Then we won't take that honor away from you. I promise," she nudged her friend with her foot again, tossing her scarf over Teddy's eyes playfully.

"So when do I get to see the inside of this place?"

Blind teddy lifted one hand off the ground and pointed towards the door.
"We can go do the tour now if you wanna. But shoes off in the hallways" she smirked without having gotten up or actually moved the scarf. "No shoes in house. And yeah I know I'm weird but I'm not American and I don't see why people need to wear shoes all day. Indoors' for socks"

"Not a problem," she smiled and hoisted herself up, slipping her shoes off ahead of time. The damn boots were uncomfortable, anyway.

"You coming, too? Or do I get to drag you by your ankles and make you guess which room we're in while the scarf stays over your eyes? I'm game for either, really."

"I'd say drag me! If it wasn't for the fact that my hair would turn green. Assuming you were able to move me int he first place" Teddy giggle and pulled the scarf from her eyes as she, surprisingly enough did a kip up and landed on her feet with a bit of a ta-dah!
"Come on" the grinning Caitiff sad as she snatched Cassiel's hand and dragged her to the door, kicking her own sneakers off on the tiles outside before moving inside.
Funny that actually, Medwyn's boots were always perfectly lined against the wall in contrast.

Now that looked familiar. Cass was much like Teddy, in that respect. Things were never in neat little lines and the bed wasn't always made. And, in a way, Alex was like Medwyn-- a place for everything and everything in it's proper place.

And she had seen Medwyn's room... So... not surprised, not really. Kind of felt like home.

Cass kept hold of Teddy's hand, kept smiling and her focus immediately shifted to the inside of the house.

"Hey, hair washes," she winked.

The inside though? It wasn't straight lines and military order, but it wasn't a mess. The Caitiff was actually neat in some ways, and while she could create a small mountain of laundry before she bothered doing anything about it, she was only ever messy if she was alone. It was, in fact cozy. Cozy seemed to be the keyword, from the green plants in the windows that climbed up the wall and along the window frame, to the second hand red couch and chairs in the living room, the stuffed bookshelves with a few stuffed animals sitting on top of them No real one style or theme to the place but instead a somewhat dynamic flow of things that somehow still managed to match up fairly well.

The entire place wasn't completely furnished yet, but already it felt like a home. Soft carpets on hardwood floors, warm colours to liven up the light colours used on the walls. It was a place that was meant to be lived in, not necessarily be the poster space for an Ikea commercial or a fashion magazine. And that was the point wasn't it? They wanted a home. They both wanted a home. So... that's what they'd made of the place.

Cass let Teddy lead the way. She seemed to really enjoy the plants in the windows and the splashes of color. Though she seemed to avoid any room that had a mirror-- or at least, she didn't get close to any mirrors.

She was, however, smiling throughout. Teddy and Medwyn really were doing this-- making themselves a home, a family. It was a good thing and there was not mistaking the hint of pride that Cass had for them in her eyes, the happiness that shone.

"Is that the same couch you were looking at in the storefront last week?" She asked as they came back into the living room. Her hand lightly traveled the length of the back of the soft piece of furniture, as if welcoming it home.

If Teddy picked up on her avoidance of mirrors, the Caitiff would make sure to step between her and said mirror when they passed it. Not as if the place were littered with them anyways, but there was a couple.

She nodded with a bright smile when Cass pointed out the couch.
"Yeah, I liked it so much I just.. mmm, probably silly to get a new house and used furniture huh? But you can hardly see it's been used at all. Just a little faded a couple of places due to the sun" the Caitiff said as she linked her hands behind her back.

"I think it adds character," she smiled. "Have you seen some of the designs they have for new furniture, anyway? Talk about ugly and uninviting. Something like this? It screams comfort and says, 'Live on me'."

"And that's the point isn't it?" she grinned, taking two steps back and more or less falling into one of the matching red chairs, her legs hanging over one of the arm rests. "I don't want a museum or someone's bright idea of what's in. I just want a home. Someplace we can live, you know?"

"And that's exactly why it's perfect!" She grinned.

"Thanks" the blond smiled, tilting her head to the side. "I like having a home.." and for a moment? for a moment she had a slightly distant look, that dreamy look Cassiel could no doubt recognize.
"So uhm, you going to Bella's club opening? She said you were one of her VIP's" she winked.
