Ten Minutes Ago (Teddy) - Creator's Workshop

Okay? That surprised her, something her expression seemed to reflect.
"Why would I hate you?" Teddy asked softly, moving her arms around him when he leaned into her like that. The blond closing her eyes and leaning down to kiss the top of his head.
"I love you Medwyn... I would never hate you..."

He nodded, though he didn't look up at her. "Remember when I told you I liked to exercise discretion due to someone's lover taking exception to a sexual encounter? That lover was Alex, the woman involved was Miss Vella." He paused. "I'm sorry."

The blond's touch didn't change, though she was silent for a few moments as if wondering if she'd heard him right nor not. When she finally did speak though, it was with that same soft tone of voice as before while gently running one of her hands through his hair.
"I didn't know..." well that much was obvious wasn't it. "You could've told me you know..." Teddy said, drawing her breath and letting out a soft sigh as she nuzzled into his hair. "That was before we even met.... so why are you apologizing...? Do I really strike you as that much of a horror girlfriend..?" she said with a low chuckle before biting her lip. "That I'd be jealous that you've been with others before me? That you'd be attracted to someone as beautiful as her..? Please don't apologize..." Teddy added in a low whisper.

He shook his head. "No, I don't think you're a horror girlfriend or anything of the sort. I didn't know you and I didn't know that you were friends until recently. And it wasn't really about the attraction... not entirely, anyway. Yes, she's beautiful and she was prancing around wearing nothing or the closest thing to it, then she, I don't know, just... kind-of jumped me. I thought... she asked me to, and I thought that I was helping her." He looked up at Teddy then, shaking his head. "I just... I guess I need you to know about it. Because you'll find out sooner or later and I would rather it be from me."

She met his gaze with blue eyes that held no anger or hate or accusation. They were still warm, still looked at him the same way though perhaps there was a hint of something, of worry perhaps behind that gentle smile as she searched his expression, still slowly running her fingers through his hair.

"I much rather know..." the blond nodded. "You both mean a lot me..." she said, biting her lip again as if hesitating before lowering her voice and whispering. "Would you..." stupid question, so very stupid, but she had to ask. "Would you rather be with her...?" she said softly, forcing herself to keep eye contact because she really needed to know. "If you could... I mean... she's smart, and she's kind and she's beautiful, so very beautiful... I-I can't really compare to her..."

He brought his hand up to rest his finger against her lips. Silencing her, but with a gentle touch. "How can you think that. Do I really seem that shallow?" He sounded almost... hurt.

"No... no I just..." she looked down realizing a few tears had managed to escape her and wishing she could hide them even if she knew she couldn't. "You deserve so much better than me..." the blond whispered, looking up at him again with a smile even if she knew how horrible the tears made her look. "And she's better than me..."

He settled her more firmly on his lap. This time, his hands went around to her back, sliding up so that he could rub between her shoulders in a gentle caress. "I believe... that there is a perfect someone for everyone in the world. For Jamie, that was his first wife. Odessa, he loves more than anything... except for his first wife. Cynthia. Odessa just isn't Cynthia. For Jamie, she was his soul, his life, his love. And for Sheriff Tahan, that perfect person is Estaban."

"Everyone has someone, and the universe will, at some point, bring them together. Some call it God, some call it fate, some call it something else entirely. But something pulls these two people who are perfect for each other together. And there's a moment, you get just one moment to either grasp it or let it go."

He paused, looking up at her and running one hand through her hair.

"For me, that perfect person is not and has never been, Miss Vella. That perfect person for me, Teddy, is you."

"You may believe that she is better than you in some fashion or another. In some ways, you may be right. But not to me. To me, Miss Vella is a pale comparison to the woman I hold in my arms, who gives me everything that I could ever want... who makes me smile and makes me laugh, who loves me just for me. To me, she could never be as smart, funny, witty, sexy or as beautiful as you are. Such things are always a matter of perception, and my perception tells me that in comparison, she could not ever measure up."

She wished she wouldn't cry, she really wished she wouldn't because she knew what it looked like. But she couldn't help it, not when said what he said, not when he touched her as he did and offered her words that went straight to her heart. Not when he called her perfect... perfect for him... the only man she wanted, the only man she wanted to be wanted by.
He only wanted her...

"Medwyn..."
There was so much she wanted to say, to share. But she couldn't find the words, her voice failing her all together. Though her eyes? The look in her eyes spoke volumes even if her voice wouldn't carry the words that kept eluding her.

So she leaned in, closed her eyes and pressed her lips to his in a kiss that held the same love, the same warmth as her eyes did. Unable to find a better way to express what she felt for him, what he made her feel.

She didn't deserve him... but Heavens, she loved him. More than anything...

His head tilted so that she could press her lips to his. Both arms went around her, holding her in a warm, tight embrace. He was so happy just to be there, so happy that he could put that look in her eye -- even if it came with tears. He knew the kind of tears that they were and as a result, he would endeavor to make her only cry those kinds of tears for as long as he could.

His eyes closed during the kiss, closed and he brushed his cheek lightly against hers. "Feel better, love?"

"Yes..." she smiled, drawing he breath with a soft chuckle that sounded of relief and happiness. "Yes, much better" the blond smiled, holding him tight for a few moments before pulling back and looking away as she tried to wipe the tears away without him having to see more of it. Really... they looked bad...
"Sorry" Teddy smiled though. "I hope I didn't get any on your clothes. I'm making such a mess of myself"

He leaned up to brush a kiss over her cheek. "Don't be silly, Teddy. I'm more concerned about you than I am this shirt."

She closed her eyes again for a moment then almost as if a bit startled, pulled back. Not much, but she did pull back.
"Hey... careful.." the blond smiled at him, wiping her face clean and then wiping her hands across her cheeks a couple of extra times to be sure before looking him in the eyes again. "There" she chuckled softly before leaning against him again moving her arms so she could wrap one around his shoulder again while letting one hand come up to cup his cheek with a gentle touch. "Less horror movie"
It was nice that he didn't care about the shirt, but she did care about him. And blood was still blood even if it had been shed as tears.

He smiled, but he didn't stop her from wiping her face. That would have been rude. "It is, but I also know what I'm doing, love. I know how to keep myself safe when it comes to blood. And you're never much like a horror movie to me. Never."

"Just thinking of you.." she said softly, because the last thing she wanted to do was betray his trust in any way. "And I'm glad.. I know how this looks, but..." Teddy bit her lip gently. "But they're good tears at least" she said softly as she brushed her thumb gently across his cheek. "Because I've found the missing part of my heart... I got you... I got you..." she repeated in a low whisper under her breath as if in awe just looking at him.

He leaned up so he could cup her cheek, running his thumb gently over the rise of her cheekbone. He met her eyes, leaning up to kiss her gently, brushing his lips over hers. "And I love that you are thinking and looking out for me. I really do. You can cry as much as you want to... yes, you have me."

That was almost enough to make her cry again with a soft little laughter that reflected in her eyes that were as bright and happy as her smile.
"Medwyn..." she whispered his name against his lips before pressing hers against his with a whimpered sound of pleasure, of happiness. Savouring the moment and the touch of his hand on her cheek as much as she was savouring his words.

"It occurs to me," he said amiably and with a grin, "That I am turning into Jamie with the sappy romance stuff. I never thought for a moment that anything like that would happen to me."

She couldn't help but laugh softly, leaning against him as she gazed into his eyes with a smile while brushing a hand slowly through his hair.
"Oh, it's sappy now, is it?" the blond teased. "And here I thought you were enjoying it" she grinned, obviously still teasing.

He laughed again, leaning close to brush his lips over hers. "Yes, sappy. But being sappy doesn't mean that I don't enjoy it."

"I like this..." she whispered, closing her eyes with a smile as his lips touched hers. "You make for such a good sappy lover"

He laughed. "I'm sure that someone is going to take my man card away soon if I keep up the sappy."

A comment which in turn earned him even more happy laughter from the smiling blond in his lap.
"Oh, I can assure you, no one will ever have a reason to do that"

He laughed softly. "You'd be surprised. A man-card is a delicate thing."

The blond leaned in, brushed her cheek against his as she closed her eyes, giving his earlobe a light nip of her teeth.
"Trust me... the way you make me feel?" she whispered softly. "Make me moan... whimper..." the Caitiff brushed her lips against his ear again as she softly pressed her body against his with a soft chuckle. "No one could ever find reason to take that from you"
