Awakening Part 3 - Nosferatu Warehouse (Vermin, Pet, 13, Raz0r)

She smiled and responded in kind.

I have only been dead for five years.

A low growlig rumbled deep in her chesy, though she sat there like she knew she stood. Her body was tense, ever watchful eyes on the woman touching her Master.

!3 watched. He stayed back but would try and meet them when allowed. He didn't want to interupt raz0r.

Marcus watches the pair with a look of utter fascination. A doesn't fail to notice Pet's growl as she watches Razor, which in turn causes him to move just a fraction closer to the woman. He doesn't interrupt the conversation at all, just remains slightly on guard.

Vermins grin grew, his razor sharp teeth gleaming in the light of the room.

So young....

She returned his smile.

You will not find me weak. And I know all there is to know about how to get around in this age.

The girl gave a defiant snuff with a rapid shake of her head once more, plopping down on the floor next to Vermin. Her eyes once again surveyed the scene, though as they landed on Marcus, a silent look of understanding cleared those wild golden depths for the briefest of moments.

Vermin nodded.

Then I look forward to your instruction.

If you will allow me, I will show you to a place you can sleep, and find you and your pet coverings. Most Kindred of this day are not casual about nudity, and your coverings have rotted away. If you ever wore them in the first place.

She kept her eyes on his, her confidant smile in place.

He grumbled in response.

Very well, we will follow.

He broke contact with that as he turned to Pet and spoke in his rough tongue. A single word of impatience.

She crawled up to sit at his side, gently brushing against his leg to let him know she was there. Her gaze fell skeptically on Raz0r as she mentioned coverings.

She stood and led them back, further into the warehouse, to where the was a room with more security on it. She opened the door and gestured inside.

"This is yours."

After she had lead Vermin inside, she quickly left his side. She glanced around the room scrutinizingly, obviously sniffing about as she moved about in her crouched position.

She instantly moved, making noise, to take Vermin's hand, ignoring Pet.

She checks the area for you. Do you require any more assistance this evening?

He grumbled, shaking his head.

I am aware of what she is doing. Her job. We are fine, good night.

He broke contact as he began to move about the room himself. Touching things blindly, until he reached a corner where he sat starring in RaZ0rs direction.

She nodded.

"I will return when the sun has set, Pet. And then we shall talk some more, your Master and I."

She gave a slight nod of understanding before curling down beside her master. Her head was tilted so one ear was pointed towards the ceiling.

She closed the door behind her as she left, heading for the rest of the clan.

"Well. That went as well as could be expected."

Easily, she dropped back into English. And glared at 13.

"I would ask that you not confuse our recently awoken clan mates. Or do I have to beat that into you?"

He raised an eyebrow.

"Haven't I always done as you asked without threats? Come to think of it, i have done that for all our clan. I dont hrt family, and if you think talking to him would hurt him.. then I wont. I was only going to apologize for any rudeness. But hey, whatever you think best."

No he wasn't challenging her, just not going to try and convine someone who he knew he could not convince.

She smiles.

"Excuse me for feeling a tad protective. That side of me seems to have come to the forefront lately."

He nodded but not smiled.

"Okay. Get this Raz0r. Family is everything. I don't hurt family. And I don't break promises to family. Anyone else...thats something else. But family is sacrosanct."

Well what do you know, the leather face was literate.

She nods.

"I'll keep that in mind. It's good that you're one of us. Those that put family first."

He smiled something that seemed.. off. It was..soft, friendly, something approaching human.

"The Nos are the first people who gave me a family in my life. They took me when I was human trash. I can handle being treated like thatm but they didn't. They made me family. Even when I could not be what they wanted me to be, they accepted me and I have been family. They taught me what the word family meant. The day I forget my family is the day I cease to be a thinking creature and give into the beast forever."

And pity the world when that happens.

She nodded and stepped closer to him.

"If you ask it, that will be the day I put you down. No one should be just a beast."

He thought for a moment, actually thought about it.

"Up to you. Some part of me says yes. Another part...likes the thought of being the beast in the dark, people fears incarnate, death and terror the only things that matter."

He looked into her eyes.

"Up to you."
