Awakening Part 3 - Nosferatu Warehouse (Vermin, Pet, 13, Raz0r)

She turned to glare at 13.

"Do you have something to say? Spit it out."

"You telling me you do not seee any humor in the situation? It's almost as funny as the number of sewer rats we have living in a state with no sewers, or Vampires in florida."

The foreign tongue brought her shoulder blades further up, her anxiety obvious. She glanced back and forth, golden eyes then resting on 13 as she began slowly stalking forward, still crouched down.

Vermin reached out and grabbed Pets hair, yanking her back forcefully as he spoke in his foreign tongue. A single word, but strict and dangerously threatening.

She gave a shriek as she was roughly pulled back, whimpering as he spoke and shrinking back as if she were afraid he would strike her again. She stared up at him with big, apologetic eyes, her shoulders shrugged up pathetically.

He spoke to her, spittle flying from his lips, his sharp teeth gnashing. His long fingers held onto her hair, entwined in her tangled hair.

Fear filled her eyes, though she turned to the group and spoke. "I accept your offer, this meeting is over."

Ethan stepped over to Vermin and extended his gloved right hand in a handshake.

"Vermin, it was good to meet you. I hope your stay here is pleasant."

Vermin looked at Ethans hand for a moment, his head tilting to the side before he grasped the hand. His long fingers touched Ethans flesh in delicate precise patterns. "It is good to meet you." His fingers said.

Ethan nodded and stepped away, looking to Raz0r, still speaking in Latin so that their guests could understand him.

"Raz0r, when you've taken care of helping our guests settle, I'd like to speak with you privately in my office, please."

With that, he headed for the door.

The feral one gave a small growl as Ethan and Vermin's hands met, then simply looked up to Vermin, guilt racking her features.

Vermin reached out and patted her head gently, speaking in their archaic tongue softly.

She nodded to Ethan.

"What do you require do live comfortably?"

She spoke directly to the two ancients.

Vermin listened to pets translation and looked quizzically at the young Kindred. His hands moved quickly across pets back once more.

""Life is rarely comfortable, tell me what is available." She growled out, her gaze never leaving Vermin's face.

She shook her head.

"This warehouse is what the clan has. If I know what you would prefer, I can acquire it for you."

He looks at her, confusion setting in.

"What is a warehouse?," The confusion was apparent in her tone, "Is it this structure made of metal and stone?"

She nods.

"And I will teach you all about the modern age. Including the updates that have happened to languages. Both of you."

Vermin listened to the translation and shook his head. He answered through pet again.

Anyone glancing at the feral child would see her make a sour face, though she responded in his words. "No, you may teach me this language and if Pet is good I will teach her."

She nods.

"Very well. I meant only that I would have to teach both, because you and I do not share a language."

His face spread into a rictus of teeth and pale pale lips. His hand reaching out, and beckoning her over, while his other worked pets back.

She blinked. Then laughed at herself.

"Oh, I'm an idiot. Of course."

And she rose, moving to him and extending her hands.

He laughed, it was a raspy thing, followed by a rough cough as he took her hands in his. "How old are you?"
