Conspiracy (Raz0r) - Raz0r's Mainland Sanctuary

Just as he'd said, 20 minutes later, Chase pulled up and knocked on Raz0r's door.

It popped open almost instantly.

"What is it?"

"I need your help, Raz0r...to free Griselda from Esteban."

She squeaked and clapped her hands.

"Really?"

He nodded, his brow dark. He hated plotting against Griselda, even if it would help her, "I know the ritual, but... I can't do it. The first time she asked me to stop, I know I would. So I need to know that you're going to be able to do what I can't..."

She pulled him in.

"Chase, I've been planning this for a year and a half. I know what's best for her, and he isn't it."

"To be fair, Raz0r, I'm not sure I'm best for her either..."

She slapped his arm, then pulled him towards the back room.

"Shut it. You, I can threaten. You'll be terrified that if you ever hurt her, I'll be there with a stake, waiting in the dark, and you'll never know I'm coming until it's too late. So while you may not be the best thing for her, getting away from him is."

"Do you honestly think I, of all people, would ever conceive of hurting her?"

"On purpose? No. But you have this history of not thinking, so I'm going to give you another stumbling block in the way of making any mistakes."

"You are aware that I've loved her for, at the very least, the better half of a century, right?"

She smirked.

"And how much have you fucked up in that time? I'm aware. I also know you. And as her best friend, it's my job to threaten you. Now, let's plan how to do this. You wouldn't happen to know the Path of Morpheus, would you?"

"No." he said plainly, making a mental note to research the path later.

"Damn. Hard way it is. Damn damn damn. I was hoping to be able to spare her the torture, but it can't be helped."

He nodded. He'd figured it would be performing Abandon the Fetters. "I can ask her if she'll allow me to learn it. How much mastery would I need?" Because if they were going to have to stake her, the planning would take that long anyway.

She shook her head.

"No, I got this. I know how to do it, and it's going to take months for you to get to the level we need. That was just the easy way."

"Alright, what's the plan and how can I help?"

"You can get me chains not even you can break. And I need enough blood for after for both her and I. Are you going to want to be present? "

"Yes. It's not right for me to let her go through this and not be there for her. You'll have to put me in chains as well and... I take just as much pain as she does. If you need someone else there to put the hurt yo me then so be it. I've gone through the ritual, I know what it entails."

He produced a bottle of scotch filled with a dark liquid from beneath his coat, "You'll need this. It's Esteban's blood."

She squeaked again.

"Can you get me the chains by tomorrow night?"

"I think so. I have one set that can hold JL. I might be able te get another set from Ethan... Maybe. I can call you once I've got the second set."

"Two more days, tops. She's going to do something similar to me, and I want this done before I'm bound to her."

"Wait... Don't you still have keys to Leo's shop? Why not just grab the chain for the engine hoist?"

Her palm met her forehead.

"Duh. Yeah, I can grab that. Can you get me the chains that you have tonight? I have something special I need to do to them first."

He nodded, "Yeah, I can get them back here in about thirty minutes."
