Awakening Part 3 - Nosferatu Warehouse (Vermin, Pet, 13, Raz0r)

She led them through the streets of the city, then to the warehouse, where she opened a door and led them inside.

Vermin had moved through the street on all fours as he had followed Raz0r, his body taking on the shape of a rat almost, the contorted spine made his back stand up as he moved. Occasionally he would sniff at passing mortals, or at a lamp post or something of that nature. His head would dart this way and that as he listened to everything around him.

Entering the warehouse, he pulled pet to him and put a hand around the back of her neck, pushing her to a seated position. He crouched down next to her, and whispered something in her ear that came out as a gutteral hiss.

She didn't seem to mind being forced to the ground, her hand coming up to rest on his back - an easy thing as he was crouched down. Her gaze darted this way and that, ever watching, observing, her ears focused on any strange sounds she might hear.

She pulled her phone from her pocket, keeping her body between her and the pair. And she sent out a text.

Vermin tilted his head to the side listening to the sound of the phone, of the buttons being pressed, and the sounds it made.

He glanced at pet, his fingers squeezing against her neck

Her fingers moved over his back, though a growl escaped the corner of her mouth. Her nose twitched before her head tilted to the side, ear specifically turned upward to listen. Golden eyes continued to dart this way and that, any slight movements inside the warehouse setting her on edge.

She turned back and sat on the floor, facing them.

"Just to be sure, can you understand what I'm saying?"

Vermin tilted his head to the side, and then looked at pet.

She spoke in a much older English dialect, her voice little more than a growl - a raspy tone, one of a mortal who thirsted for water. "You speak, I understand none of your words."

Raz0r nodded. Then, seemingly on a whim, she ran through 12 other languages. All of them old and European.

"Now I understand." She spoke up as Raz0r ran through Latin.

Vermin looked at Pet, his fingers flashing across her back.

She smiled.

"Good. Then we can communicate without having to be in contact."

And she would stick to Latin for the rest of this scene, unless otherwise noted.

A nod was given to Raz0r, before yellow eyes turned to her master, questioning.

Vermin growled again, his free hand coming up and itching his shoulder, his hand came away bloody as he ripped something from his flesh and put it in his mouth and chewed.

His hand moved across Pets back again.

Her wild gaze focused once again on Raz0r, chapped lips speaking in that familiar language they shared. "All questions, you will direct to me for now. Where are we?"

"You are in a new country called the United States of America. It is a mere 200 or so years old. You are in the State of Florida, and the Domain of Prince Jamie Alexander. This place is across a great expanse of salted water from England."

Straight forward answers. As little confusion as possible.

Vermin felt the words translated on his back and in turn responded to Pet similarly. It was aparent that he was not very pleased though, as he growled again in irritation, his teeth gnashing against each other.

She did not seem fazed by his annoyance, simply doing as she was told.

"What do you mean, Prince?"

He presses back his response.

"We are no longer low clan, what does that mean?"

She smiled.

"It means the Ventrue have finally seen our worth. We can come and go as we please. Though there are dangers in these nights that there were not in the past."

About twenty minutes or so after the text, Marcus arrives as instructed. He knocks on the door politely before entering the building. As he does so, his Mask drops away, also as per instrcution revealing his true image.

He waits the door, respectfully giving the elders enough time to wave him forward or to motion for him to remain.

Vermin sat up slightly straighter his mouth cracking what could be taken for as a grin.
