She smiled and went to the wardrobe. She pulled a set of men's slippers from a drawer and set them down. Then she lifted the boots and slipped his knife into the right one.

"Let's show you the library."

He put on the slippers and followed. "What was it like awakening at the same time European culture was as well ?"

She laughed.

"Invigorating. I had fallen into slumber because of boredom."

"I imagine it was. And have you been bored since ?"

She chuckled.

"Yes. That's why I came here."

"So what is here that would intrigue one such as you ?"

"It is a fledgling domain with so much diversity. And England began to stagnate."

"Fair enough " he smiled. "As long as that diversity includes a home for all, ahh not now. Sorry. I have by the way mastered as much one of my generation can the art of armor crafting. May I create something for you ?"

She nods.

"If it would help calm you. Perhaps a set of elegant chain?"

"More a token of respect, and yes chain, so long as it is not silvered until I finish. I prefer to avoid that metal. "

She smiled.

"Doesn't have to be silvered. Can be gold. Or any other color."

"Let me order some titanium and we can wash it in platinum, and find a rose to finish the decoration "

She smiled.

"Perfect."

Then they were at a pair of tall double doors. Which she opened onto the library.

Johnathon took a sharp and needless breath. "Wonderful " he said after a moment. "What have you that I might not find in mortal hands ?"

She pointed to the stairs.

"Second floor."

A look of pure hunger and anticipation shone in his eyes as he swiftly mounted the stairs and looked to see what tomes filled the shelves.

She moved to a shelf on the first level, pulled a book, and moved to a seat to sit and read.

He pulled the first book in English he could find and opened it (ooc what all is he going to find on this floor ?"

((On that floor, he's going to find old histories. Nothing Occultish, but a lot that isn't supposed to be around any longer. The shit that's expenisve.))

He stared raptly at the book turning the pages more as if he were absorbing whole images than actually reading.

She just left him to that for as long as he wanted to read.

It wasn't until he felt the hateful tug of dawn that the anarch reluctantly put the volume he was memorizing down, and bowed to his elder before heading back to his room.

She sent him off to bed with a nod, and headed for her own.
