Even in jeans, Gwen carried herself with confidence and grace. Which is why she walked straight up to the Praetor's door and knocked on it, the moment that she and Jonathon arrived.

The door was opened by Richard the Butler.

"Good evening."

She gave Richard the Butler a smile.

"Good evening. Gwendolyn Brailsford. I believe that I am expected?"

He nodded.

"She is waiting in the library. If you'll come this way?"

She nodded and turned to follow.

"Of course."

He lead her down the hall and into a beautifully filled library. Two stories high, filled with books. There was an elegant lady sitting behind a desk, writing.

"Miss Gwendolyn Brailsford to meet you, ma'am."

She waved a hand, beckoning the woman in, without raising her head.

"Just one moment, if you please."

She smiled, but folded her hands behind her back.

"Of course," she said again, though this time to Christine.

She wrote for a few more moments, then set her pen down and looked up.

"Good evening."

She nodded. She was polite, but the gesture was telling. Her submission only went so far.

"Good evening to you, Praetor."

She gestured to a chair in front of her desk. It was a comfortable one.

"Please, sit."

With a smile, she sat. Crossing her legs, she leaned back comfortably in the chair, though her eyes? They never left Christine.

"Thank you."

She nodded and leaned back in her own chair.

"So. What brings you to Port St. Lucie?"

"Fresh start, really. New-ish domain, not as many troubles with the drug trafficking and other such business that Chicago offers."
