"I don't understand that thought process..." she said with a shake of her head.

He shrugged.

"I can't say that I understand your kind either, so far as that goes."

"The urge to kill oneself isn't specific to my kind." she replied with a shake of her head. "Though I can see how a creature that has been gifted with forever the taking of ones life takes on a different meaning."

He laughed.

"Well, I see it less in your kind. They specifically do not want to die."

"Some are selfish, and have no care one way or the other... like the burden of the years is too much for them." she replied.

He nodded.

"I would say that's fair. Most Kindred are very stagnant creatures, too."

She began to swim back to the shore slowly, "I think that is entirely dependent on the personality of the person." she replied

He was swimming with her, at a lazy pace.

"No. They're just too old to change all that much."

"Perhaps, though I know there are others that enjoy their ruse, and like having the upper hand of surprise." she replied easily.

He snorted softly.

"Losing sight of what is important, if you ask me."

"Don't we all sometimes?" she said swimming lazily toward shore.

Keeping pace with her, he laughed.

"Yes. But your kind do it more than most."

"Perhaps because when there is forever, the little things are easier to focus on then the big picture. Have you ever seen someone who really had the right mentality to live forever?" she asked with half a laugh.

He laughed softly.

"Just Jamie."
