Forging a Path - Bathtub Beach

Kimberly entered the ring of large rocks that provided a seclusive meeting place. Gingerly she let her bare feet slide toward the sand, her focus consumed in the task of keeping her balance in her descent from the heavy stone. Once upon the sand she stood a little awkwardly, staring down at her feet wading in the dry earth.

Raz0r came from around the rocks and waved to Kimberly.

"Glad you could make it!"

The woman looked over to Razor and gave her a slight smile, "Thank you, should I call Charles over." She looked back to the rocks she climbed through with a slow dazed expression and lift of her arm to point off.

Raz0r chuckled.

"Only if it makes ye more comfortable t' have him here."

She pulled her phone from her pocket and tapped a few keys before putting it away.

They didn't see her coming.

One moment, the two of them were alone. The next moment, the Sheriff was crouched behind the protective ring of rocks, away from prying eyes of mortals. She just ... materialized ... out of thin air. At least she was crouched behind the rocks, so that no mortals could have seen that.

"Hi," she said and looked up at both Kimberly and Raz0r.

Raz0r smiled.

"Kimberly, I don't know if you've met our Sheriff, Ra'idah."

She smiled and stood up fully.

"We've met. Once or twice. How are you, Kimberly?"

"I have met her," she stared at Ra'idah with a knowing expression. "We spoke of solitude and distant horizons."

Raz0r chuckled.

"Well then, good. On to business. I believe Rai wishes to talk to you."

She nodded with another smile.

"You and I spoke of dreams once. Raz0r tells me you want to learn how to control your dreams?"

She nods, "I learned to Portent from the one who took my last mortal prophecy."

She nodded.

"You are aware of the dangers of learning such a thing? That the Tremere will hunt you, possibly even kill you, if they know of your ability to do these things?"

"There are greater things to fear," she said evenly.

She nodded.

"Yes, there are. Though I will ask that you keep my name silent in this."

She slid her hands into her pockets.

"But I will teach you more."

"This cloud will hold your water to the last," she said solemnly. "What may I do for you in return?"

Raz0r smiled as the two talked. She knew this was a good idea.

She smiled serenely.

"Just keeping my name silent is enough."

Kimberly didn't blink, but cocked her head slightly to contemplate her words.

She smiled.

"Do you want to just learn the future from your dreams, or control dreams as well?"

"Both, but one must crawl before they walk with confidence."

She nodded.

"Just wanted to know how far you wanted to take this."

Kim nods.
