Needing a Friend (open) - The Den

Greer reached her hand out to shake on it, looking at Cass with a "Just checking" look and a very very happy smile.

Cass politely declined to shake her hand with a shake of her hand, though did not speak as she smiled a bit uncomfortably.

"Why won't you shake my hand? And if you wish to learn something just ask." with a cautious look at her.

Cass used a strength of will to not become emotional and still shook her head, now sitting on her hands. "Connotations..." she said weakly.

"oh I hadn't thought of that, but if you are seeking stamina are you also seeking ways to take damage?" with a sly smile at her.

A gentle nod. "I can't take a hit, honestly. But, yes. I've relied on Presence up until now. But eventually, I'm sure I will find myself in a spot."

"Well how about fortitude for auspex then?" with a nod at her "And I won't teach you anyway you are uncomfortable with?"

"You can't teach Fortitude without getting hurt," she offered kindly. "I'll have to gather a blood supply. I agree to this with the understanding that... I'm a bit abnormal and it will show during teaching."

"I try not to be cruel as others maybe." with a tilt of her head looking at her as one looks at something fascinating "And yes blood will be on you." softly said.

Cass noted the look and sighed. She put the index finger of her right hand in her mouth and used her front teeth to bite down on the skin, making a small tear of the skin. She held her finger out for Greer to see.

"Might as well be in the know before we start. I've been told it's a little disturbing. This nick... How long does it take you to heal something like that?"

"I have fortitude my dear." with a sad smile at her "You heal slowly then?"

A frown. "I heal at a crawl and it takes a lot."

"So I will work on thinking of ways that bruise instead of break?" with a nod at her.

"I suppose that would be preferable," she nodded with a smile.

"I am going to have to think on it but I will figure out a way." with a thoughtful nod and look. "So your turn to choose conversation."

"Travel," her face seemed to brighten. "You have a favorite locale?"

"I haven't traveled in a bit, from Berlin to here is about it, but Paris really is a magical city." with a far away look.

"So people keep telling me about Paris," she chuckled. "I've never left the states, myself. But I can name a magical spot in 48 out of the 50 states here. Or... at the very least, captivating."

'Oh I'd like that list." with a bright look at her "I've not explored the states."

"Make sure you have some hiking boots," she said with a wink. "Here in Florida, there's St. Augustine which is incredibly beautiful in it's architecture. Claimed to be the most haunted city in America, too. It's certainly the oldest. Beyond that, the Big Bend to the north in the panhandle is just... it's exquisite. Some of the beaches and coves there along the bay are completely untouched."

"Describe it to me?" with a smile at her "I've not spent most time on beaches other than here."

"I can do you one better," she said with a grin. She pulled her bag up to her, pulling out her small digital camera and began scrolling through the plethora of photos.

"Here we go, I think there is a set of two or three in there to give you a fairly good idea."

She handed the camera to Greer.

Greer looks at the photo's "I so love Spanish Moss it feels so primal and ancient." just staring at the pictures for a long while and then handing it back to her "Thank you."

"I couldn't agree more," she smiled sweetly as she took the camera back and touched the button to turn it off. "Of course, in Louisiana, the old, nearly hidden Spanish missions in the swamps are quite the sight, too. I've been told there are one or two places like there in this state, but... I haven't exactly done any more sight seeing."

"I've never been to Louisiana, but the pictures of the old southern estates are always so eerily captivating."
