"You were a friend of my father" the youth smiled softly, following her into the elevator. "And you were, close, for a long time. It wouldn't feel right to make a pass at you when really, I'm just trouble heh" he tilted his head to the side, causing a few strands of hair to fall down into his face. The smile still on his lips as he spoke again. "Besides, I noticed the extra things in the bathroom. So my guess is you already have someone in your life. And I rather not start things off by stepping on anyone's toes"

Greer laughs softly "Oh my dear, in that way you are wrong. I've got company but everyone should in my thoughts. I am still not sure whats up with one......" shaking her head "Movie and friends I will accept."

"Then movie and friends it is" he smiled brightly at her, straightening up as the doors slid open, allowing them access to the ground floor. As before he waited for her to exit first before stepping out himself and leading her to the parking lot. A tap of his keys causing the lights of the Audi A8 to flash to life.
"My Lady" the youth opened the passenger door for her.

She steps in "Nice car. I'm hoping to get mine soon, but still working on the whole drive thing." Yes they really did look like to kids going to the movies.

Well, they looked like kids, but anyone with half a brain could tell you that judging a book by its cover was foolish at best.

Charlie got in an turned the key in the ignition as the motor roared to life before pulling out on the road and heading for, well, anyplace really. He remember having walked past a couple of cinemas a few nights earlier so either they went to one of those places or if they found someplace along the way, perhaps they'd opt for that. Either was fine with him really.

"Well, it's not that hard really" the youth looked to her. "Eyes on the road and some basic common sense will get you a long way"

"Oh but I like speed, hate parking and just have gotten sort of backing up." with a smile at him. "BUT I am hoping to have a car soon, a license and go from there."

Charlie grinned, a soft chuckle escaping his lips as he changed gears.
"Then get something sturdy" he winked at her. "Sounds like it might be the way to go if you like speed but aren't fond of the other things, like parking and breaking"

"Actually I think he's getting me a sporty convertible but I'll have to wait and see.' with a grin at Charlie.

"Oh, a gift?" he grinned. "Now that sounds like a generous man" he added with a wink at her. "Afraid my roses can't compete with that"

"I think it's more a stop harassing me woman present." with a chuckle at Charlie "The roses really are beautiful and so unexpected."

He laughed again, turning off the main road. His eyes now and then briefly flickering to her with an amused smile.
"Well, those kind of presents works too. And sometimes, although not as grand, a small unexpected token might still make an impression"

Greer looks out the window as Charlie drives "I never expect anything or anyone to follow through so I am always delighted when the unexpected happens."

"Now, that kind of pessimism sounds almost like something Sam could've said" the youth smirked, looking back to the road.

"No that's realism." with a chuckle and nudge to Charlie.

"Realism" he rolled his eyes in mock contempt of the idea. "Oh the drudgery" and then laughed, unable to keep that mask up for long.

"Occasionally I live in that world." with a chuckle at him.

"Ah yes, I guess we all have to sometimes" he winked, pulling off the road to park the car and turning to her with a smile.
"There's a cinema a couple of blocks down, mind walking the last bit? A bit of fresh air might be nice?" or well, kind of fresh considering they were in the middle of a city.

"Sure we can walk so you ashamed to be seen with me or you're protecting your car?"

He arched an eyebrow at her and tilted his head questioningly to the side.
"Neither. Or well, fairly protective of my car. But I sincerely thought a short walk might be nice" Charlie smiled gently. "If I gave you any other impression, I'm sorry"

"Just being curious." and started to walk towards the theater.

Strange girl...
He locked the door and caught up with her with a couple of light steps, offering her his arm if she wanted to as they walked.

She took his arm "Are you sure? I don't want attacked by a 300 lb man who is mad I am out with his boyfriend or shot by some jealous woman." with a grin at Charlie.

The youth turned to her with a gentle smile.
"No such thing will happen. The only man to have taken me on a date kind of ditched me to look for you" he winked. "And as far as women gos" the youth shrugged his shoulders casually. "I wouldn't worry either. No one I know would want to hurt you" he reassured her.

Greer looked guilty "Oh sorry it interrupted a date..." looking very guilty "But I have to tease you. I on the other hand can assure you no such thing is going to happen when you're out with me." with a chuckle and gentle bump into him. "I really have basically been able to stay out of trouble here."

"Hardly anything to apologize for" he smiled as he gave her a light bump back. "He obviously cared deeply for you. I even went with him looking" the youth said. "Clearly he was more into you than me" he added with a soft laughter, clearly not having taken it that hard.
"And thanks. I really don't need more trouble than I already have. Though even if you were, you'd be well worth the risk"
